When did Wessex take over Curly Block?
Based on the responses here, and my own first smoke of it, I definitely have the Heinrich's version here. I don't detect a trace of anything besides VA and perique with this block. It's quite good I might add.- --dante--

When did Wessex take over Curly Block?
The reason I ask is I have a jar in my basement with one of those big sausage 'blocks' cut in half, and labeled "curley block 2020" I believe it was Heinrich's but I don't remember for sure. I'm wondering if the date identifies it as Heinrich's or did Wessex take them over before 2021? Just...- --dante--

Smoking Half a Bowl and Finishing it Later
I smoke most of my bowls in halves, and usually have two half-way smoked ones sitting ready. I wouldn't say the second half is far superior, but it does seem to benefit from the "rest". The very quick and easy relight is kinda nice too. I really don't do it specifically to have second half...- --dante--

Quality Bits for Corncob Pipes
If you like the MM Country Gentleman (or other cobs with the same sized bit), Boswell Pipes usually have a selection of cobs for which they made custom bits. Cigarillos?
If you like semois, smokingpipes sells semois cigars in various sizes, and as far as I can tell, it's the same stuff as Tabac Manil pipe tobacco. Even the wrapper I think. Best Light Weight Pipes?
I saw a few posts suggesting Savinelli Author and that is my suggestion as well. However, I would add that since you want light weight, go with the KS 321, which is a slightly "sized down" version of the KS 320 (both are authors). I have one of those from about the same time! Never thought I'd see someone else with one. It's the only churchwarden I have. I remember they posted some Civil War photos of soldiers smoking similar looking pipes. Using a miniball design was a nice touch.- --dante--
