Smoking 1/2 Bowl at a Time. Get a Smaller Pipe?

I more often than not smoke a bowl over two sessions (or even three in my large freehand). I usually prefer it over smaller bowls. The relight is easy, and often it seems to take on a better quality after it's cooled down and rested. Sometimes I have more than one partially smoked bowl...

***What Are You Smoking, February 2022?***

Old Joe Krantz in a Carolina Gent cob. Sometimes I forget to revisit OJK and enjoy one of my first blends. It's still quite in line with my tastes today.

***What Are You Smoking, January 2022?***

Father Dempsey in a Carolina Gent cob under the patio heater on my porch. I think I'll be buying this in bulk in the future.

    Cob Question

I find a cob does take a few bowls to break in, less so than briars. For a good cob with a quality acrylic stem, check Boswell Pipes site. They occasionally have a number of MM Country Gentleman pipes with custom Boswell made stems, which are very nice.

I Cannot Smoke Peterson University Flake, Little Help?

For Uni Flake (and Irish Flake), I cut the flake crosswise (across the width) with knife or scissors, then rub it out and let it dry a short while. It also helps to make some of those cuts very fine and rub it out into 'kindling' for the top of the bowl. That'll help it get started. A...

    Perique Heavy Blend

That's the first one that came to mind for me, too.

New Zealand to Ban Smoking for Next Generation in Bid to Outlaw Habit by 2025

Yes, that's exactly where the burden of enforcement falls, at least here in the US.

New Zealand to Ban Smoking for Next Generation in Bid to Outlaw Habit by 2025

Prohibition (in the US and several other countries in the early 20th century). And no tapering by age, it (alcohol) was just outright made illegal.

Old Joe Krantz Blue Label in a Carolina Gent, sitting on my dark porch even though it's not even 1800 yet (if it's daylight savings, doesn't that imply at least a small rate of interest?). Happy holidays all
