Looking For A Really Good Pipe Lighter

No, that was the 'executive' model, and only came with that covering where you see it (on the end you hold with your hand).

Looking For A Really Good Pipe Lighter

I actually use these, and you can use that stack as a tamper just fine! You just might have to knock a bit of tobacco out if it after. :)

Looking For A Really Good Pipe Lighter

    I second the Kiribi recommendation.

    100% Latakia

As others already posted, C&D latakia is quite good. I also use their granulated perique quite a bit, and can recommend that as well if you're ever thinking to get some.

Show Off Your Meerschaum Pipes Here!

Look up the cobs on Boswell Pipes site. Most come with a custom Boswell stem, which you can just swap into future cobs. There's some other sites that just make custom stems, but mine are from just buying Country Gents from Boswell. They are a very nice stem.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2021?***

Kramer's Father Dempsey in a Carolina Gent, with Red Stripe Lager, watching my wife prepare the fire pit in the yard for later tonight.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2021?***

This reminds me I have a tin of Sunset Harbor Flake from 2006 or 2007 in my cellar. I honestly remember if it's cellared because I didn't initially like it or it's cellared because I did like lol.

    Do Missouri Meerschaums count? :/

***What Are You Smoking, September 2021?***

Ten Russians in a Carolina Gent with some bourbon.
  12. --dante--

    English/Balkan/Oriental Flake etc?

One of my favorites, 10 Russians, comes in a Krumble Kake form.

***What Are You Smoking, September 2021?***

@UncleRasta Nice choice. I believe burley that is smoked from a briar would prefer that it at least be unfinished. :)

***What Are You Smoking, September 2021?***

@Paul lec That's a pretty elaborate display for your birthday -- I hope you don't get a bill for that. :) Happy birthday!

    Blessed Ennerdale

I just got a half pound of it myself (from SP). Haven't had it in a long time, and read a post about, remembered I liked it, so went on to SP and ordered it. Did I just get lucky to happen to find it available here in the US, or is it commonly available? Asking so I know to just get a pound...

***What Are You Smoking, September 2021?***

Having some Kramer's Father Dempsey in a MM Freehand with a lager just now. Also, thank you @jiminks for starting a new thread on a monthly basis. I would not have otherwise known it was now September lol.

    Drying Success

With few exceptions (depending on the tobacco), I always have my next bowl drying in advance in a little tobacco tray. When it's only one bowls-worth, it seems to dry to my liking pretty quickly since it's all spread out in a little tray -- especially if it's in the sun.

    Question About Flake Storage

Ah, okay -- I thought you meant 3-4 _bowls_ a week. Yeah those sturdier zip lock freezer bags should do fine for that.

    Hello from West Virginia

Thank you Sir for your work -- it was folks like you that guided me through the red tape jungle that was the GI Bill so that I could attend college -- and also later buy a home with a VA loan. I appreciate the work you have done, as I'm sure many others do too.

If You Had to Choose Only One Tobacco

My favorites change too often, so, based on the fact it is the one tobacco that's never left my rotation, and I'm sure I've smoked more of it than any other, I'll go with Five Brothers.
