***What Are You Smoking, March 2021?***

Good day all. Minor work tasks done... now enjoying SG Skiff Mixture in a Rossi Rubino Author with black coffee on the FL porch. This budget pipe is perfectly drilled and a great smoker.

Anyone Have any Bad Experiences with Cleaning Agents Ghosting?

Now you tell me... to think of all those wasted trips from FL lol.

    Asking for a Friend

I'd get the LT going with a couple of natural cobs and maybe use the 'filters.' They helped me slow my cadence when I felt the bowl heating etc... some heat and moisture can be caught in the 'filter' (we know it's not really a filter) as well. That way only the blend and maybe sweet cob...

Anyone Have any Bad Experiences with Cleaning Agents Ghosting?

My routine: Step one: Go by @chasingembers house and check the trash for usable jars. Step two+: What @cosmicfolklore said. (I admit I usually skip oven)

Which Tin Should I Pop Next?

I picked Eileen's Dream only because it sounds like an Aromatic I might finally like and haven't tried. Then if you don't like it at least OGS, University Flake, & Black Ambrosia are getting a little more age. edit: I should read through thread before responding as a guaranteed losing voter lol.

Fribourg & Treyer Special Brown Flake

Whispering because I agree with @BROBS ... shhhhhhh. Yay, excellent smoke. It's what SG FVF wants to be. Easy to light easy to keep lit joy to smoke semi-sweet Virginia.

What Is Your Best Value Pipe Brand?

For real low cost pleasant functionality Savinelli unfinished line and MM cobs. But, once in the $150-$250 range, a commission can be VERY pleasant, functional, and worth it... depending on the budget of course.

***What Are You Smoking, March 2021?***

Enjoying HU Old Fredders and black coffee on the FL porch. Pipe is a favorite and perfectly Large Author by Adam Sheehan.

***What Are You Smoking, March 2021?***

First smoke in my very first commission pipe! Enjoyed Match Elizabethan with coffee on the rainy FL porch. Pipe is a Chubby Author from Adam Sheehan. Perfect draw, passes a cleaner with ease (didn't need any), button is smaller than possibly 'normal' at my request and it's a perfect fit and...

What is the Worst Pipe Tobacco You have ever Smoked?

Autumn Evening. Just horrible to my taste. But... In defense of C&D, I really enjoy Bijou and Sunset Harbor Flake.

Its All In The Stem...For Me

I thought it interesting you said what you did about MM stems. That's exactly what I said to my first prospective carver for a commission pipe. "I don't know the measurements etc... but the button I like is the MM cob." A pipe carver can certainly match that closely so you get more of what...

The Third Addition to the Alaska 7 Pipe Set (Blacktail Deer)

What a great concept and mighty fine pipe. There will have to be a 49 themed rack for these 7 no doubt? Looking forward to the future additions as well.

    Granddaughter Goofing Off

Congrats Papa, she's adorable. Nothing like hearing your grandchild (grandson in my case) yell Papa for the 1st time and run (waddle) full blast smiling/excited with eyes gleaming into your arms. I love my kids but grandchildren are extra blessings. Your granddaughter is photography gifted...

    Recent TAD Pick-Ups

A little scratching of the TAD/PAD itch this IPSD weekend.

***What Are You Smoking, February 2021?***

Happy IPSD to all!! Enjoying 2016 Balkan Supreme in a Rossi Rubino on this clear cool FL day. Coffee pot is empty... but I'm now thinking it's a 2 coffee pot and 2 pipe bowl kind of day.

Phrases, Words and Mispronunciations That Bother You

I could care less, but it begs the question, will this thread literally become like a required 'sticky' before posting? Just sayin...

    Windjammer

Well it's @danimalia fault I have a few tins coming. Got me with "... Windjammer is sweeter and richer, and has a bit more of a "darker" flavor profile. I can taste the rum more in Windjammer as well..." Seems like my kind of blend, also seems from the profile that jarring won't hurt.

    Autumn Evening

I jokingly trash Autumn Evening from time to time but aside from preference, I think I haven't slowed my smoking cadence enough to enjoy stronger Aromatics. That's mostly on me and not the blend. I certainly agree with others here, enjoy what you like.

    Does Anyone Layer Anymore?

Only when I feel the urge to color outside the box or with blends that bore my taste buds quick. Vanilla blend like PS Vanilla (whatever it's called) with either PS LNF or Chatham Manor mixed and layered. Layered is definitely less of a hodge podge, seems better. Big Rossi Lucca Billiard...

Where and What Have You Been Smoking?

Old Gowrie in a MM Twain this evening and on the FL porch as usual. With all the floors and one bathroom remodel completed at the wife's "request" still have one more bathroom, house painting, new landscaping, and some closet pantry remodels to complete at zero debt before I'm "authorized" to...
