    Bulk Pegasus vs Tinned

I have experienced a difference in tin vs bulk tobacco but not with Pegasus. For me it was bulk 965 that absolutely sucked compared to the tin version. At the time I figured it was probably more of a result of different moisture content than anything else.

Frog Morton Cellar - Damn You to H#*L

I bet you would like Our Best Blend from Smokers' Haven. Probably Exotique too. Try mixing 50/50 Plum Pudding and Bothy Flake for that Lat/Va with whiskey thing. It's phenomenal in my opinion. I think I might actually like that one more than Frog Cellar itself.

    Life and Pipes in 1902

Great video! Thanks for sharing. I wonder which tobacco blends they were smoking back then?

    Out Of Stock...

I have never owned any stock, so it doesn't bother me whatsoever when it's out.

    Am I Wrong ???

I could go forever with Old Dark Fired and Potlatch. Potlatch has a strong burley influence, so if you like Carter Hall you are likely to also enjoy Potlatch. Old Dark Fired has a stronger flavor but is equally straightforward and easy going, particularly if you buy the ready rubbed version. I...

HH Old Dark Fired... First Impressions.

Old Dark Fired may not have that Oreo Cookie look that Dark Strong Kentucky has going on, but I definitely taste some sweetness in there. It's a key part of what makes it so fantastic.

Advice Please! Amping It Up A Bit

I see Black Frigate on your list and just gotta say that it will not help you "amp it up" in terms of strength or flavor. After all the piracy talk, exploding cannon pictures, and such I expected something bold and was surprised to find it rather weak in strength with a soft but pleasant sweet...

    A Shortcut to Mushrooms

That sums it up pretty well. I think it's at least 50% McClelland 5100 Red Cake but the vanilla and latakia steal the show. I love it. It was the blend that got me excited about pipe smoking in the beginning and the first pound of bulk I ever bought. It remains among my all time favorite comfort...

    Samuel Gawith Full Virginia Flake

This is one of those tobaccos that everybody just has to have. Many new smokers buy 250g boxes without ever trying it. Experienced smokers have mountains of it stashed in their cellar. The online shelves are wiped clean quickly after it becomes available. It feels to me like it's become a status...

Show Us Your De-Facto, *Best* Smoker

It's not my most expensive or best looking pipe by a longshot, however, it sure is the most reliable when it comes to delivering a good smoke. It was my first briar and has been smoked way more than any other pipe in my collection. This makes me wonder if the number of bowls smoked in a pipe...

    Samuel Gawith: Cabbie's Mixture

    我品尝到干草,深色甜水果和微妙的胡椒香料的美味组合。

尚未尝试过这种烟草。它什么味? = This tobacco has not been tried. How does it taste?

What Would You Like To See Make A Comeback

Salmon. To me salmon are one of the most valuable natural resources in existence. The rivers of the Pacific Northwest were once overflowing with them. They're still around but only in miserably pathetic numbers compared to the past. I believe that their abundance (or lack thereof) is a key...

    Done with Latakia, For Now

Sorry Bro. Your entire dress collection sucks. I suggest trying one on worth stomaching sometime.

    Done with Latakia, For Now

My comment was a satirical response to the act of condemning an entire brand based on subjective personal preferences. I found the statement to be particularly ridiculous within the context of a guy who does not like latakia harshly criticizing an entire lineup of well loved latakia blends...

    Suggestions

MyMixture 965 was my first love. I always suggest that folks start there.

    Done with Latakia, For Now

Problem could be attempting to get a decent smoke out of a Peterson pipe. Another suggestion is to try smoking it in something other than a turd.... ?

    Your Least Favorite Tobacco

I tried Mixture 79 just to see what all the fuss is about. I really like the licorice/anisette in Bengal Slices and Ramsgate so it had a fair chance with me. It sucked. The pouch went in the can after the first bowl. No need to sample it further.

Joy Of Knowing The Prior Owner Of Your Estate Pipe

That's awesome! I would love to see a picture of the Hitchcock pipe. I'm a huge fan.
