S.P.C. Canadian Pipe Any Info?

Hi guys,

I recently picked up an Estate 7 inch Canadian in Excellent shape with a nice grain pattern. It wasn't expensive, it just called out my name... .

The only Markings on it are S.P.C. inside an oval. It is stamped top and bottom. Haven't been able to get anything on the interwebs so I thought I would come to the crew.

Any info?

That's what I was thinking initially, that maybe it was some sort of Promo pipe but the rim of the bowl has that aged look, like it might be older than the internet. As most know, I have a few old pipes and the rim smacks of age..

That was my second thought, Don. Just couldn't verify it anywhere so I am hoping some one might know definitively.

If the Seattle Pipe Club website is still up maybe you could reach out to them to check. It's killer pipe. It would have called out to me, too.

It could be a pipe made for a specific B&M. I tried looking for it, but turned up nothing. The only thing that I found was something on Pipedia about Genod pipes that were stamped G.V.G in an oval that looked like that. You can see it here:

Other than that, I came up with nothing.

I wonder if it's possible that it is a Genod pipe made specifically for a group or store.

Thanks for the efforts guys! I got it for 12 bucks on eBay a while back and it's a great smoker.

I will check with SPC to see if they ever did a SPC pipe.
