Meerschaum lined pipe....Help me please
Oh yeah, it was horrible, i cant even describe the smell, it was like death and feces.....HORRIBLE, and it stunk my whole apartment up (not hard to do, its small) but still, screw that, i have plenty of pipe, its not worth my time or effort...and thats saying something, i am hard pressed to... -
Loose or Flake
All preference, I like flakes, i think they taste better, i rub them out always, loose cut is easier to deal with. I also like flakes because a 50 or even 100 gram tin can fit in a pocket, loose cut is not wuite as portable...food for thought- jchaplick

When does a bowl interior require repair?
If you ask me, that looks fine, if by repair, you mean a reaming? when the cake gets too large, youll know when it happens, if you mean a salt and alcohol treatment, i do it for any estate, and also if my pipe tastes sour, like if one pipe smokes way worse, for the same tobacco, then all the...- jchaplick

Didnt end up doing it, i think it was the glue that held the meer lining into the briar, after a night in the salt and alcohol the liner came out of the briar, and the outside of the lining (inside of the briar) smelled even worse, i couldnt take it, and i couldnt get the insert back into the... -

What do YOU miscriates do in those moments of greavous gurgling?
Pipe cleaner works, for me if its a straight pipe, and i am having lots of gurgling ill partially remove the stem, and when it gets bad, pop it off and blow through it- jchaplick
