Your thoughts on churchwardens?
I enjoy watching other people smoke a Churchwarden Pipe, but they are not for me. I have Pipes that are certainly as long as any Churchwarden and they get smoked infrequently, as I find I cannot smoke them and do much of anything else. Just the same, if I ever acquire another Clay Pipe, it... -
Tenon Too Slack / Tenon Too Tight
I use pencil graphite and Beeswax for these respective problems, with good result. The problem of tenon fit is a big one with Meerschaums, as the Block doesn't have the shear strength of Briar, and oddly enough the more the Pipe is smoked, the more brittle the Block can get.- fred
