    Any Calabash Experts Out There?

Not cake perse, just his word to describe it. Its the black tar buildup on the skinny side of the gourd that you can see when you remove the meerschaum bowl. He has had the pipe since the 70s so it has been smoked for years. So do I clean it or leave it, he said it colors the gourd

    Any Calabash Experts Out There?

So I have a calabash pipe, made by pioneer, the man who gave it to me specified that you should never clean the 'cake' out of the gourd. But I have seen inline ways to clean the cake out of the gourd. It has only ever smoked VA's and I am ok with that. It smokes great, I dont want to change...

    AND Meerschaum pipes.

Well I really wanted a brand new meerschaum, and they can be quite expensive, this site offers new pipes for much less then other places. I really just want a smooth classic shape, preferably a bulldog or billiard. AND sells these new for much less than other places

    AND Meerschaum pipes.

I know this was an old thread, but there have been some new members, and maybe someone has tried this website since then. I am interested in trying one of these but was curious if anyone else has tried one. Any opinions? John

    New Pipe Smoker

Something I didnt see listed was the draft hole being in the bottom of the bowl, as opposed to coming in from the side, that configuration rarely works withough some sort of system or gimmick
