    Beginner's Guide to Beginning

For a generation of folks that seem to order everything online, its not a bad instruction set. I can imagine with all the options out there it can be rather confusing where to start. Back before the internet told us what we should like it was different. You asked somebody you knew who smocked a...

Home Pressed Tobacco. My 1st Attempt With Pics!

I would not use a cutting disk as you will get PVC dust into your finished product. As thin as that PVC looks I would use a utility knife and score it several times, or maybe even tin snips. You have a nice press going there, but I agree with using a pipe and a proper bottom next time. You...

    MM Cob Pipe Query.

    chewing tobacco

Mammoth cave is a twist that is dry enough to smoke in a pipe. I never tried it that way, but I did chew it some. If its you first chew I expect it might also be your last. Its something you need to work up to. I chewed for eight years, red man or beech nut was my preferred. One of them had a...

    Moldy Temple Bar

Take this for what its worth. When I was a kid Southern Indiana was tobacco growing country. There was a five acre field within 100 yards of our front door. The folks farmed several acres of it, enough to fill their Tobacco barn that was just down the road from us. When they hung the tobacco...

    How To Rotate Your Pipes

It would be helpful if advise where broken down into a couple of categories, perhaps: 1) What collectors do as part of the hobby. 2) What you need to smoke a pipe. Both offer very valid and valuable advise, but can be confusing to the new comer when they don't see the difference.
