    Tobacco Reviews Website Update

As bad as they messed up something as simple as the tobacco review part of the site I can only imagine how horrible the forum part will be!

    Top 3 Burley’s?

C&D Three Friars has a fair bit of natural sweetness to it, especially the first half of the bowl, then adds some perique spice in the second half if you like that sort of thing. It's a great blend and available in bulk just about everywhere.

Savinelli Saint Nicholas 2023 Pipes are Up

I picked up one in the 320KS shape. I've been wanting a 320 for awhile and the blue stem works perfect for Hanukkah 😁 Hope you find work soon bukaroo, I've been laid off in the past and it wasn't fun.

Jim's C&D Steamworks (Small Batch) Review.

I was able to grab 8 tins from Cup O'Joes. I love Virginia/Oriental blends and going off of JimInks' review this one has all the flavors I am looking for in this type of blend. Can't wait to try it.

Codger Gold!! C&D Three Friars: Opinions?

This is one of my favorites. It gives a great mix through every bowl of deep earthy burley flavors, Virginia sweetness, and then occasional black pepper spice from the Perique. A blend that is much underrated in my opinion. I get it in the bulk version and it always seems to come at the perfect...

    2 Daughters Rimboche A.B.

I didn't see any Picayune there. It was mostly his Rimboche blends, lots of bags of his Balkan blend, boxes of cigars, and a couple plastic cups of Windsail blends so I don't think he has any Picayune left at all unfortunately.

    2 Daughters Rimboche A.B.

Glad you were able to get it to smoke well for you. Mark made so many great blends that it is truly a huge loss to pipe smoking that he had to shut down. He is a real hero for saving Perique. I also am one who appreciates the fact that his blends always were on the dry side, perfect for putting...

    Tobacco Reviews Website Update

I have no idea what the developers were thinking on this one. Almost nothing works anymore on the site and all the useful data that was always front and center is virtually gone. Plus the overall look and feel of the site is like something a 15 year old would make in an hour with a 20 dollar...

Most Smoked Blends Vs Favorite Blends

A few of my favs I smoke the most often are C&D Haunted Bookshop, C&D Mad Fiddler, and GLP Embarcadero but I also have tons of other blends I throw into the rotation so I don't get burned out on my favs and I like to try new to me blends often.

    New C&D Small Batch? Steamworks?

It has Virginias and Orientals in it so I'm down for a couple tins. I too enjoy the small batch thing but I would like to see C&D release another regular production blend as well.

    Fall/Holiday Blends

It definitely can hit you with a soapy note which I picked up on before I ever read JimInks review so it is there for sure. You also get a little of the soap aroma in the room note too. It's a weird blend to me because that note will hit you out of the blue on a puff and then it's gone and it...

    Fall/Holiday Blends

C&D Autumn Evening is great year round but definitely hits the spot when the weather turns cooler. As mentioned before C&D Old Ones series are all excellent with my favorite being Mad Fiddler Flake. Warped Scarecrow is very good, but I'm hoping they bring back The Haunting this year as I passed...

    Cornell &Diehl Tin vs Bulk

I have bought a lot of C&D bulk offerings over the years and I have never been disappointed with their quality. I like it when the tobacco comes a bit dryer, but even with the bulk stuff I sometimes dry it out just a tad more to get a easy burn. I wish they were able to offer all their blends in...

Anyone smoking the Caribbean Blue series from K&K?

I bought a tin of Drake and Seegar but haven't had a chance to crack either of them yet. Drake is the one that interests me the most. I plan on getting all six to try since they at least have an interesting list of flavors, not just your run of the mill vanilla or cocoa like so many other aros.

    Order size

For me it all depends on whether I have had the blend before and what type of blend it is. If it's a re-release, like Sunbear, that I know I like I will get between 4 to 10 tins. If it's one I've never had but the blend is up my alley I'll buy a max of ten. If I don't know if I'll like it I buy...

    Best Bulk Tobaccos for Aging

I agree with what Chasing Embers said. I buy more of the blends I like to stay ahead of rising costs, taxes, and to make sure I have some on hand in case the blend disappears, which happens all too often these days. If you don't like the blend when it's new it's nothing but a crap shoot to think...

    WCC Ernie-ental and Simply Orange

I am definitely looking forward to being able to finally try these two blends and hope they stick around awhile.
