    Name that pipe smoker!

How about this guy? What famous person's father designed this?

    My first Peterson.

Good choice, especially on forgoing the weird looking P-lip.

    What games do you play?

Lawrence, if the London Times cryptics are your go-to puzzle, my hat goes off to you. I keep telling myself that someday I'll do cryptics, but only when ready for lots of facepalms and shame.

    Most underrated pipes?

Pstlpkr, That TRG is pretty sweet. Nothing but good things about that one. The Johs is very nice also and looks like it'd smoke forever.

    Most underrated pipes?

Great thread. I've been thinking of my next pipe being either a Hardcastle or Ben Wade from the B&M, but some of you guys have convinced me to go on and get a Grabow. As far as the ones I own, I don't think enough good things can be said about Savinelli's Baronet Bruyere line.

What is your MOTTO surrounding the whole pipe-tobacco-smokinr issue?

"A desire not to butt into other people's business is at least eighty percent of all human 'wisdom'...and the other twenty percent isn't very important. " -The character Jubal Harshaw, from Robert A. Heinlein's book "Stranger in a Strange Land"

Do you have your Dad's favorite old pipe?

Great heirloom, Lawrence. It's especially nice that so many memories are attached to it and it's still useful. Even if no one else in your line ever smokes a pipe, it's still a good thing to be handed down. I wish I knew what became of my dad's old pipes and my grandpa's...especially the Falcon...

    For Nerd Eyes Only...

Wow, I was doubtful anyone would be interested, but I'm pretty excited about the competition, so I put it out there anyway. Anyone who gives it a try may be really surprised at how engulfed you can become in a good story. Some of these authors are really talented and put a lot of work into their...

    MATCHES!

I don't use matches very much, but every time I do it makes me think I should do it more often. Nothing seems to rival the first light of a match; certainly not my Zippo.

The Start of My Pipe Collection?

Onizuka, That was a nice choice for your first pipe. Like you, little flaws can really eat at me over time, but in this circumstance, just remember that many, if not most, first time smokers start off with pipes of far lesser quality that in some cases turns them off from pipe smoking...
