    astrange1 I LOVE that pipe. The stem reminds me of a Clown Fish swimming. Mac Baren Club Blend in a Molina bent Dublin. Immediately followed by half a bowl of Chelsea Morning in a CAO Meer bent billiard. Had an Iced Coffee and a normal coffee. Planning on smoking the rest this afternoon.

    Breaking in My New Peterson St Patty's Day Pipe

    This might sound a bit odd but there are times I have a hard time lighting latakia blends and keeping them lit. And Chelsea Morning always seems to need a char, a true light, then 30 seconds later a true true light. Drying it way out has helped. Made it sweeter too IMO.

    I can never get mine lit worth a darn. It takes like 10+ strikes to get it going. It seems like it leaks out in under 24 hours too. I've shelved it and stuck to matches or a bic.

    Is It The Look or The Smoking Property That Makes You Decide on a Pipe?

    I go off of a vibe I get from the pipe. While I think that's based on looks and feel, it usually relates to how well I think it will smoke. Sometimes there's just something about a pipe that says "Me! I'm the one." Even if it looks like 10 others.
