Meerscahum vs. Briar and Calabash question
In answer to the calabash question, African gourds are getting hard to get, but you can't go wrong if you can spring for one. I personally wouldn't care for a wooden pipe instead of gourd, but you get what you can afford. Most pipes these days also have a 'pressed' meerschaum bowl.- topd

It's always kinda hit me funny that state laws consider the length of knives... I never worry about crap like that. If I'm going hiking, I stick whatever knife I want in my back pack... never on my belt. Hunting, I put a good skinning knife on the dash of the truck... not on my belt. Camping...- topd

Everyone has a couple old tobacco jars in the center of a pipe rack. I put some cool briers in the rack and then stuff the jar with cobs.... "I like the look".- topd

I made that same new years resolution this year... no more pipes, just tobacco. But, I ordered a new Baki yesterday... just couldn't help myself.
