    Vintage Tobacco

I'm not declaring it vintage but I've been noticing a lot (okay 3) of McCellend's blends I've been picking up are from 2011. From multiple places too.

It's More Than Smoking a Pipe.

Yeah. I've always kinda of walked my own path never really fitting in. We moved a lot as kids so it was extremely rare to go to the same school 2 years in a row. I've never really cared to be understood, but I like to understand others. I think that's a big part why I like this forum. I know...

G.L. Pease May I Have Some More?

+1 Igloo. Haddo's Delight really taught me a lot about rhythm and working with the tobacco and pipe. Big draws we're getting me hot air, but I would really notice layers of flavors in the smaller sips. Same for exhaling. I could chase certain flavors according to how I smoked it. When I...

What Are You Smoking? May 2013

This morning...coffee with a bowl of shredded Marlin Flake in a Aldo Velani 1/2 bent apple. I'm almost out of Marlin Flake I just realized.

What's in the Mail? (Today's Purchase)

Keeps us in the loop Lumber. I've actually been reigning in my tobacco order for this month due to Mother's Day, my wife's birthday, and my daughter's birthday all within the same week. But I did snag a pound of Burma Road for 24 bucks from Smoker's Haven. Never tried it but I've seen Jud...

    4noggins Haul - What a week

Grants Yaz. Nice haul. I've been wanting to try the Britt's Balkan myself.

G.L. Pease May I Have Some More?

Chelsea Morning is one of my favorite smokes at work. It's really sweet, full, and creamy with an iced coffee and cream. Haddo's is another blend I think I'll keep on hand for those damp fall days. I've got a bit of Fillmore I'm working on now. I was pushing it, so I put it on the back burner...

    Great Day for a Falcon!

Excellent buy! I really like mine. Good driving pipe. I'm still breaking in a new bowl but it seems to smoke English better then it does VaPers.

Pat you did an outstanding job. That Sav is a beauty. You've just inspired me to get busy on a Milano restoration piece I've been frowning at.

Buying a Pipe as a Present

Very nice of you. My wife and kids have bought me 2 pipes this past year. Nothing that I would never pick out for myself.....or smoke that often, BUT I keep them in the first two seats of my pipe rack even though I need the space for my favored pipes. Sometimes a pipe is something more then...

    Very Succesful JM Boswell Visit

Thanks for sharing that great story. I'm partial to their Sweet Tea a little bit. I keep threatening to order some of their Northwoods. Let us know what you think about it.

What Are You Smoking? April 2013

Peterson Systems (317) - No Gurgle?

I have 4 system pipes. A 303, 307? (Its not marked), and two XL315's. I find one of the smooth 15's gurgle if I'm doing a lot of relighting. They do all get filthy though. I honestly don't notice them smoking any "cooler" the a non system pipe. Let us see what you get!

What Are You Smoking? April 2013

Still on page 21? You people are slacking. Peterson Irish Oak in an Aldo Velani 3/4 bent apple. Coffee. The Irish Oak reminds me a little bit of LBF but in LBF the Virginias are a bit out in front more. But I think it's pretty good so far. Don't think it's a repurchase when LBF is still on...

    Pipe Case

Yeah, I have to admit I've held off due to the man purse thing. Right now I just use a pipe sock and a tin of tobacco. I wouldn't mind something that was like a small zippered day planner or CD book, but then you get into bulkiness. Most my pipes are 3/4 bents and I always wonder how well...

    Who Made this Pipe?

Hi John. Do you live in Lawrence? Just curious I've got a ton of family there.
