I Think I'm In Love, A Pipe Review

Great post. I find myself packing them a bit tight..just get a good pinch of tobacco, twist it in a bit and leave an air pocket at the bottom. I think it works really well due to the large airway.

    Must try Rare/Exotic Tobacco Blends

Tarzan and Bob bring up good points, but troutface has an interesting angle on your thoughts. I dont chase aged tobacco but it would be interesting to compare an older version of tobacco vs a new tin.

    First PAD in a while

Yeah but now you've got a pair. My 315XLs look great sitting next to each other. One smooth, one rusticated. Heck I think they need a sand blasted sibling now.

    Mail Carrier Arrived Bearing Gifts

Sheesh I came back a second time to look at it. Yeah. That taper is fantastic. That Pete looks like a good little partner too. Those 02's and 03's are really comfortable IMO.

    First PAD in a while

I like those old straight bulldogs. They've got those classic lines IMO. Hope it turns out to be a good smoker!

My First Oom Paul! (Odd Brand)

Great Pipes gents. I myself was leary of an Oom Paul, wondering how well it would smoke. I've got an estate Savinelli Estella I bought and I really liked it once I hand drilled out the airway in the stem a bit. I'm not a huge fan of big chamber pipes, but this one is really nice for sitting...

    ?? For you cob smokers:

Are the bowls finished the same? I've found that the rough unfinished cobs seem to smoke cooler.

    My first Stanwell

Moonman that is a great looking pipe. I like those big thick walls.

    Sony Walkman

One of the girls who does data entry for me has no idea what a walkman is. She's 18. My kids dont know what a VCR is and they look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them about having 3 channels and that they used to go off the air at night.

Has anyone ordered from Hiland's Cigars?

Moreso then unrestored, mine still had ash and dottle left in the bowl. Again im not complaining. They sent some snowflake as a sample with my order. I smoked a bowl while working on my wife's car. Not too bad. I'm not a huge aro guy, but it was about on par with the PS bulk aros I've tried...

Has anyone ordered from Hiland's Cigars?

Punk, just a fyi, the pipes I ordered came completely unclean. But honestly from the price I paid I really didn't care.

Has anyone ordered from Hiland's Cigars?

I bought a few estate pipes from them. It was a good experience.

    Small TAD Order

Magnum Opus is on my short list. I'm just wondering if it's too heavy for me. Like Black House, Lancer's Slices, and Three Oaks Syrian. All something I enjoyed but I never wanted to finish a full pipe of them.

***What Are You Smoking*** (April 2014)

Lane's LEO in a MM cob, while driving all over creation at work. Nothing like a little reliability on a busy work day.

EXCLUSIVE: Tobaccos from Missouri Meerschaum & New Tribute to Balkan Sobranie

Country Gentleman and White Knight are going on my short list. Anyone have a release date or did I skim read over that.

I Think I've Found My Shape.

The hourglass is my favorite shape. But in pipes, it would have to be the apple. There's just something comforting about a well shaped apple and the bent ones are great to clench. Glad you're enjoying the Zulu.

Been Gone For A Long Time

Hey buddy. Good to hear from you. Best wishes from Indiana!

    Warning To All Pipe Smokers

Ditto Lostandfound. I actually like matches for flakes. With a bic the flame just doesn't draw down as well. Djeep makes a great disposable lighter. That being said. I still use a bic most days since I've got 1938103 floating around work and home. I thought about getting a nice pipe lighter...

    Are Savinelli Tobacco Pipes Collectable

The Estella line would be neat to have as a collection I think. I just picked up my first but haven't smoked it yet.
