    Films that feature pipe smoking

While not featured, I noticed that in the War Room of Dr. Strangelove, many of the assembled generals and top men are smoking cigars and at least one or two silently puffing their pipes.

    The After Midnight Club

Just got back from a double feature of classics. Dr. Strangelove and 2001 a space odyssey. A long night of films indeed! I want to crack open my tin of Frog Morton on the Bayou but I don't think the lady is going to be down with that at this hour.

How many bowls a day do you smoke?

lately i have been from 3-5 which i guess is kind of a lot. But i work from home now on my own business so there's nothing stopping me aside from giving my special lady and the two dogs a break from all the smoke. Also i get a bit of a sinus irritation if i smoke to much. I find that i tend to...

    Vermont Meat Candy

What is in the Vermont Meat Candy blend? Russ isn't throwing dead animals into the blend now is he? As a vegetarian I'm intrigued by the name.

    Hearth and Home

Smoking Butternut burley right now. It is extremely satisfying if you sip and don't chug.

    Ingrid Bergman

I just had the privilege of seeing Casablanca on the big screen from a 35mm print here in Portland. It was great to see it the way it was intended.

    Zippo Fumes?

I now use matches and a Ronson jetlite lighter partially because of the zippo fuel being a pain.

    What is a Military Bit?

Google is your friend. Found this on another site. "A military bit (aka army mount) is one where the tenon of the stem attaches to the shank at a metal-covered socket. The Peterson Army pipes are a nice illustration of these: like so. I've heard two stories as to the etymology of the term...

    Corncob churchwarden

Wow, i really like this idea. I just bought a grab bag of cobs and thanks to this thread i am considering making a cobwarden. I've also never heard of that site so i am drooling at all of the forever stem options in there. I wonder how the 6 1/2 bent churchwarden stem would look with a Patriot cob.

    Aromatic Flake Recommendations

Hey Old Cajun, How do you go about baking your tobaccos? Sounds pretty interesting and easy to do.

    Softy Pipe Bit

i stopped into a terrible and overpriced cigar store today to see if they had any pipes and over paid for a pair of softy bits. Definitely going to take some getting used to but i think my jaw will thank me. my teeth have been feeling sore from over clenching. And my cobs look like a squirrel...

    Tewksbury/Hobbit's Weed

Oh I see from your old thread. I live in Portland. I could order some and have it sent to me and just ship it to you if you want to kick in the extra shipping.

    Tewksbury/Hobbit's Weed

You can from the second link. Is there another reason?

    Tewksbury/Hobbit's Weed

Ack! i just went to their site looking to purchase a tin but alas it seems their site is broken. Hopefully they get it fixed soon. I've been reading a lot of good things about this blend and the TAD is burning a hole in my e-wallet. Edit: scratch that. it looks like they have two sites. one is...
