    atwageman, no I don't it was one of my first restores and it sux cuz it was one of 2 that have no pics and it came out so nice....only 2 fills?..A tomato straight large bowl...it had a beautiful straight grain with a light walnut stain

    Personally I like 3/4 bent but I do have a Kaywoodie Straight billiard that I love.Although for me it has to bent at least a 1/4 for the aesthetics....damn you sherlock..lol

    so far I've used a brilo pad then a 0000# steel wool both with isopropyl then my dremel with a Buffer/slight abrasive pad and have had no complaints besides not using micro-mesh to get the glass like shine before using carnuba wax

    generally I'm not a fan of sandblast or plateau but the y mixed the two together amazingly..and I love the divot in the center of the shank

    me too I can't find them anywhere...I've looked on E-bay,craigslist,thrift stores and antique shops but can't find them anywhere,that's why I gave him the Yello-Bole....I have a pic of both of us with our pipes,if I can find it I'll post it

    Well that makes me feel so much better, my boy is 3 as well and he has a Yello-Bole brylon and he is my eyes at the antique shops.It's amazing how he can spot a pipe/rack across the room there

    Don't feel bad I kept forgetting to do that the first lil while I was on here too...There's just something about all the pipe talk on here that you have to smoke a bowl and forget everything else..lol

    If you use carnuba this can happen... Notice the white bits....it does recede after a few smokes and some handling though

    I personally am in both boats...Sort of....I have recently started to buy estate pipes that I like and restore them and if I don't fall in love with them in the first bowl I put them in the sell rack...Is this weird?

    no problem I found that the standard sanding bit fits an average bowl perfectly with a lil wiggle room before you hit briar..for mine I use the 60 grit then 150 grit to smooth it out a bit.Just be careful not to angle it as u sand or you'll put grooves in the briar as I did the other day when my...

    I haven't done the salt method but I have done Iso and cotton balls on 6 pipes and it works wonders.There have been a couple that the cake was so bad I had to take the dremel to it with a sanding bit to get it back to the briar but no ghosts still
