    Am I The Only One?

Being someone who loves the Peterson's pipes and the system pipes (military mount) in particular this is never a problem. I also use Irish Whiskey when "deep"cleaning because I only use what I drink when cleaning pipes... ?

From NZ. Need Help with Tobacco!

First let me offer you my condolences. Something similar was tried here (USA) called prohibition and it failed miserably. I wish you good luck with this political issue...

    Bakelite

From my hobby of restoring old rotary dial telephones I have researched the following. Bakelite was made by from 1907-27. Bakelite used filler of cloth, paper, cotton and even sometimes asbestos. This meant the plastic was heavy, very strong, opaque and came in only dark colors. When Bakelite’s...

    Tobacco still good??

I have bulk tobacco that I have stored in mason jars from over 15 years ago which has only improved with time. That being said, if you are worried about your tobacco having gone bad I would be willing to assume the risk of consuming it for you... ?

    The Sound of a Zippo

Still have my first Zippo from high school (1960) though the belt clip is new (1980's). In high school we would mix English Leather with the Zippo fuel to make it smell better to the girls. I can not count the number of times that this lighter has been sent back to the factory of rebuilding. I...

    Am I The Only One?

Run pipe cleaner through stem. paper prowl in shank, double over for inside of bowl then a little bit of rum on the paper towel with final wipe of inside of bowl. Takes maybe 60 seconds and pipe is fresh for next bowl. Works for me and so that is all I care about. ?

    Pipe Storage

Bought an old wood secretary, removed the decorative wood glass dividers. Spray painted the cabinet and put UV film on the glass. Top holds currently used tobacco and such and the drawers hold my pipes, cleaning/restoration supplies and more tobacco. My wife really loves the smells of the...

    Schroeder's Piano

For me pipe smoking is like whiskey. I find what makes me happy and then enjoy reading the deeper philosophical discussions of why I'm happy while having my Irish Whiskey and smoke. Carry on gentlemen...
