    Pipe Babes

My personal opinion on that is it's pretty darn subjective. As long as Kevin keeps adding new Pipe Babes, we're living in a golden age. :D I don't know what his recruitment process is, but maybe he could entertain requests for either another photo shoot with a favorite or to be on the lookout...

    A little PAD flare up.

Nicely done. Classic lines, nice sandblast finish. Simon

    After further review...

I second this. It isn't my favorite tobacco, but it or one very much like it will be in my rotation forever. It is the easigoingest (is that a cromulent word?) blend in my stash. First time I ever loaded a pipe with this, it was one match for the charring light and another for the true light and...

    Schadenfreude

Well said. Such petty division has a name: Zero Sum Game. Perhaps you're familiar with it in the context of the pursuit of high school popularity. It serves no purpose. There is no winner. The only winner is the one who doesn't play. There are some on this board who could easily slip into the...

    So...Not dead... just busy

It's Uncle Arthur. Once the word's out that he's here, they come runnin'. Welcome back, red. Missed your cool avatar. Simon

    Happy St PADdy's Day

LOL! So much more humane than blowing into an electronic device. Simon

    Just Saying Thanks

Hey Puffy, glad to have you. I know what you mean. There is a whole range of pipe smokers who hang out here, and everyone is free enough in their talk that you not only get your questions answered, but you also get a sense of the people behind the avatars. I know it helped me figure out a lot of...

    Happy St PADdy's Day

Maybe I need to thumb a pipe full of CAO Eileen's Dream... I don't have any Petes. Any other Irish-themed tobaccos? Happy St. Patrick's Day, all! Simon

First PAD trigger for 2011-- whats yours?

That was a nice "strip tease" of your pipe! Good to see the pipe was worth all the scrolling: nice one. Simon

    Happy Anniversary!

Any highlights along the way? Favorite tobaccos and or pipes? Congratulations! Simon

    Tin of Penzance arrived!

Nice. Not sure it would be my thing, but it's always awesome to hear when somebody finds something new they like. Just so long as we don't have to read a thousand posts from Bubba now complaining how other tobaccos aren't Penzance... :D Simon

March 2011 - What are you smoking? II

Mac Baren Plumcake in a Brigham 1/2 bent volcano. Simon

    corncob experiment

They are like the blue bristles on your toothbrush that tell you when the brush is worn out. If the blue never fades, you might need to face the fact that you don't brush enough. That's the relationship that I have with my maple filters on Brigham pipes. Stupid things won't turn brown. Ergo, I...

New Mac Baren HH Highland Blend Exclusive Sneak Peek

It's a Scottish blend. To stand out in the land of haggis, whiskey, bagpipe music and throwing the kaper, you gotta be strong! :) I don't know what it is about this one, but I gotta try it. Thanks for posting the review! Simon

    corncob experiment

I'm not sure my tongue would last all day, either. You'd have to take 'er slow and easy. I'd also like to know what blend worked all day like that. Simon

    the great age debate

I dunno. I fall on the younger side of the median age, I guess. Being where I live (weed is a multi-billion dollar underground industry in British Columbia, lots of anti-tobacco laws), I suppose a pipe would be associated with weed instead of tobacco. But it ain't no glass pipe, and one sniff...

March 2011 - What are you smoking? II

Solani XSM in a Vauen Rhodesian chuchwarden. I've been smoking this pipe since last summer with the short stem instead of the CW, and thinking it was unbalanced. I finally gave it a shot with the long stem and it was transformed. Was a perfect pipe in the hand. Simon

    Pipe Cellar iPhone App

Go for it. You'd have my $0.99 immediately if it was an improvement. I looked at the existing app and wasn't impressed. Simon
