    Agreed- I have not done it in quite some time now though it almost seems necessary on the nicer offerings. They even have sniping software/services. I assured myself if I have to do that- I should pass.

    What do you think about the lining? I know a lot of tobacco pipe pouches have special linings from felt to other special materials to either protect your pipes and/or keep your tobacco fresh.     Lastly- the stem was saved. I don't know why after the vinegar soak it looked "86"'d. I polished it up with Murphys, beeswax, etc. - looks fine and is still hanging in there. All good and thanks for the help.
