Aging aromatics? Lane 1Q and BCA

The only thing I have noticed is that if I store an aromatic like Lane RLP-6 in a large container that I continually open it seems to loose a bit. I assume that this is because of the constant application of dry air that happens when I open the mason Jar. Also, I have a 50/50 mixture of Lane BCA...

In Need of a Portable Tobacco Tray/Plate Thing

I also know someone who works at a high school and he hooks me up with small bowls that kids make and do not want to take home. I have found that a small clay bowl that has not been glazed works really well for drying tobacco. My theory is that the clay is able to absorb moisture like a paper...

Rehumidifying pipe tobacco, good or bad method?

It is best to use distilled water, and it is the only water I would use; however, I had an uncle who would just take a cup of regular tap water and just dip his finger in and gently shake it into his tobacco pouch. He never had a mold problem, but then of course he only smoked one blend at a...

Advice for first burnout repair of an abused Peterson

The debate about types of ash could be a situation where it has been repeated so many time that it is now seen as the only truth, or it is possible that cigar ash is better as it is pure tobacco ash. Pipe ash could contain remnants of casings and toppings.

    Corn Cob Buying Advice

I will add that I am not a fan of the open draw of a filtered cob without the filter so I prefer the Patriot as it has a respectably sized bowl and is designed without a filter.

    The New Generation

First, I work with kids everyday and have for the last ten years, and I do not envy what they are having to go through. This is one of those points in history where there is a fundamental change happening in how our world society functions. Anytime there is a major shift in technology (ie. the...

What's Your Record For Doing "It" In A Single Day?

I have not really kept count, but I would guess five or six bowls. Weekdays it is almost always two, one when I get home from work and then one after dinner (usually at 7:00 pm and I try to make it last until 8:30 when it is time to turn in for the day. I have to be up very early for work.) On...

One of the teachers where I worked is going to help us set up a Gofundme page. I am also looking over the webpage with the suggestions for other fundraising ideas. Thank you all for your thoughts. I am very proud of my daughter and can't wait to share some pictures once she goes and comes back.

Fund Raising Ideas (Daughter's Trip to Europe)

First, let me say that this is not a solicitation for money, but truly a request for ideas. Second, my daughter has been selected to go on an honor band trip to Europe this summer. I have been a very proud father as I watch my daughter work an after school and save her money and tips. It is very...
