    Fillenwarth

Your pipe has really nice lines. I also really love the texture and color. I am partial to rusticated sides with a natural finish on the top of the bowl.

C&D Morning Bayou and the Importance of Avoiding Haste

What make this blend interesting is that it come in a both flake and a ribbon cut that is not a ready rub. I find the flake to be very sour at the start of the bowl. I think I might have to crack a tin this weekend and see if I can get some of the peppery notes. Happy buffing.

C&D Morning Bayou and the Importance of Avoiding Haste

Are you trying the flake or the loose cut? The flake is a tobacco that I loved when I first got it; however, after a couple of tins I have lost my enjoyment. I have a couple of tins of this in my cellar for the day when my tastes might change back.

    Clear Up Some Confusion?

If you are having trouble relighting once you have smoked through half a bowl, I would suggest dumping a little of the ash and then attempting to relight. I often do this by using the pick portion of my pipe tool to loosen a bit of the ash at the top and then turn the pipe upside down over my...
