The Nording Woodcock

Ladies and Gents,
Your opinion about this from Erik Nording's hunter series? Many of us are used to his huge Dublins and his extrodinary freehands, but this is a rather classicallly shaped billiard, albiet with an amazing stain job (and slem).

Anyone with any experience with a Nording billiard?

I do not have any experience with Nording; however, that is a really nice looking pipe.

His billiards... at least, the one I have of his, is an excellent smoker. Any of Nording's works is going to be low risk. I've rarely (never) heard of any of his being a beater.

What's the deal? Is it briar pattern painted on the ebonite stem or wood inlay?

I am partial to the beaver, the wild turkey, the quail, the mallard, the watipi, the woodcock, the hunter, and the brown bear.

I love straight billiard pipes, and my Nordings of other designs are excellent, so if I were in the market, I'd buy this one in a second. It looks maybe a little heavy for clenching, but it might be lighter than it looks (check the specs). Design and appearance-wise it is gorgeous to me.

I have the Elk pipe in Nordings Hunter series and it has been a supreme smoker, I would have no reservations about buying another Nording pipe.
