    F#&@ing Nanny Legislation

One of the most messed up things about this is that people in Washington, even members of the Seattle Pipe Club, can not readily purchase any of the Seattle Pipe Club blends (which I've read are quite nice). There is only one retailer in Washington (located about 60 miles south of me) that...

    F#&@ing Nanny Legislation

Rafter, I absolutely agree about the taxes and the ambiguity. As I stated earlier, I'm still not entirely certain whether I, as the purchaser, am at risk of being prosecuted or whether it falls solely on the seller. At any rate, I have decided that I will no longer even attempt to make tobacco...

    American made pipes

Beautiful pipes Cooper! A suggestion on your website...when I am perusing pipes on the web, I like to see some stats about each pipe. I, personally, pay a fair amount of attention to the weight of the pipe and the tobacco chamber size. I want to know whether this will be a pipe that I need to...

    F#&@ing Nanny Legislation

Hmmm....I think that might actually be safe. Here is a snippit of the law as written. 27 NEW SECTION. Sec. 2. A new section is added to chapter 70.155 RCW 28 to read as follows: 29 (1) A person may not: 30 (a) Ship or transport, or cause to be shipped or transported, any 31 tobacco product...

Cherrywoods ...\"like they used to was.\"

Y'know...somehow I managed to skip over your post stating that you were going to try just what I was thinking! You know what they say about great minds...

Cherrywoods ...\"like they used to was.\"

Looking really good Phil! As far as being able to make a nose-burner/warmer with that style of pipe...just make another thick bowl like you've got (maybe a little thicker even), but put a taper fit stem right into the bowl! Voila

    Homemade CornCobs

Beyond the problem of having tobacco easily pass through the draft hole, I suspect that an overly large draft hole (1/4" say) would also cause problems with keeping the tobacco lit. Bear with me here as I approach this like an engineer :) Think of it like this: If you were try to raise the...

March 2010 - What are you smoking?

Art is definitely putting me to shame! Finishing off the holiday spirit I started last night...paired with a fresh pot of coffee.

March 2010 - What are you smoking?

Thanks for the info Highstump, I'll keep it in mind. I'm not going to pass any further judgment on either of them until I give a few more bowls worth (maybe try a couple different pipes too). Both of them seem to burn pretty well. I did notice that the H&H was a bit more bitey than the PA though.

    Black Ambrosia by mistake

It's ok...I can sleep well knowing that the reason my state legislators have raised the cost of tobacco is for the safety of other peoples children...

    Black Ambrosia by mistake

I don't know about that Phil. Some of the states are getting up there in their own taxes now. I paid $6 each for 1.5oz of Prince Albert and Half & Half.

March 2010 - What are you smoking?

Tried Prince Albert for the first time earlier today in my yello-bole nose burner. Jury is still out on what I think of it...I'll give it a couple more bowls.
