Early Dr. Grabow De Luxe resto

Nice work. These old Linkman's Grabow's are great burners. I always liked the shank inserts from this era.

Restored An Old Peterson Kapp Royal-PICS

Well done Orley. Did you have to sand and refinish the stummel? The char looks pretty substantial in the before pics.

    Dunhill Baccy 33% Off!

Does this count as throwing the thread off rails? The bulk BB1938 isn't the same as tinned. I bought a ton of Baby's Bottom when it was re-released and it was labeled Baby's Bottom. I just checked Smoking Pipes and they have now changed the tins name to BB 1938. I don't care as long as the...

    Rounded Stem Face Solution

Ed you're right. I only tested this on one stem before using it on the GBD. Both stems were roughly the same shape. I always recommend trying any new ideas on a test pipe first.

    Putting Faces with Names

@Orley You should write a novel just so you can put that picture on the dust jacket. @Scrooge My avatar is Daniel Day Lewis from the movie There will be blood. Although I do occasionally cover my face with oil and wear 19th century clothing.

    Rounded Stem Face Solution

I thought I'd share this simple trick for fixing a rounded stem face. Someone had gone overboard with compound and a buffer on this stem. Mowed the button, rhondell flat and rounded the end of the stem face. I think anyone interested in these repairs, knows or has seen the thread on patching...

    Putting Faces with Names

There are many people on the forum I'm proud to call my friends even though I've never seen them. So introduce yourself and let's put some faces with names. Clenching a pipe is not mandatory but strongly advised. Some of you may recognize my buddy. Fun with signs at work.

    Bleach and Stingers?

Be sure to plug the draft as well as coating the stinger. The bleach will eat the stinger from the inside out.
