    Wind Caps??

Cool. Does that affect the draw or keeping it alight? I guess keeping a pipe lit in a breeze is a non issue. The opposite in fact is what we are discussing. Lol Do u think types of tobacco are playing a role?

    Wind Caps??

Wow, really!? That is such a shame!!! Did u see it coming while smoking? Make sense. Breezy and breezier could feel quite different on your face but be the difference between hot and pipe destroying furnace I guess.. Shame. I’ll make sure I never smoke a nice pipe (when I get around to buying...

    Wind Caps??

That’s really helpful. Thank you. Hadn’t ever thought to smoke at the beach. Would be nice but I’d imagine you’d want to sit away from public. Well just not too close packed is what I mean.

Had to Make My Own. ?

Ah, ok. My apologies. I did read through the rules but must have missed this. Sorry. I’ll try find that set of rules and check for what that number is.

Had to Make My Own. ?

Yeah, I have a budy who smokes only very occasionally. I wonder if part of it is the costing... O and thank you. I luv being practical. ? ,

    Dunhill/Peterson Similarities in Blends

That makes heaps of sense! I am right at the very beginning of my pipe smoking adventure. I have only smoked two blends. I have bought a variety of English blends to see what I like. But it seems I won’t be able to be especially methodical in future as it seems you are trying to do. I have...

    Dunhill/Peterson Similarities in Blends

Having this kind of information would help inform future purchases to head in or away from a particular blend based off of past experience. It would make the exploring more efficient, rather then ‘that’s a pretty picture I’ll try this one next’.

    Jeez, This is Trickey!

Bahahahahaha ????? Just don’t wear your dinner jacket and you’re all good then. ?

    Jeez, This is Trickey!

Again I am new but it may affect the flavour a little I am thinking ... :P

Had to Make My Own. ?

Thanks mate! I found with the first few uses the wood and oil I used to coat it raised a bit with the saliva on your lips but it seems to have settle now. Id really like to try a 'real' pipe to see how volcanite etc feels in the mouth. I read that it is quite smooth and comfortable. Once COVID...

Had to Make My Own. ?

Too funny. I was totally being sarcastic but hey. It is good to use as much of the animal as possible though which is great. Luv that you thought everyone did it growing up. :P

    Wind Caps??

Do you have one of these? I haven't seen a wind cap in the flesh but understand about things rubbing the inside of the pipe.

    Wind Caps??

That makes sense. Thank you. Are there things to look for when buying one?? Holes per square inch .....
  15. Buckler

    Wind Caps??

So, necessary? I follow Briarboyo on Insta and he seems to always be using one. I have smoked 99% in a shed so no issues. When I went to check somthing outside it definitely burned more. Didn’t take any effort to keep the thing lit but the smoke didn’t get particularly hot. If I plan to smoke...

Had to Make My Own. ?

Yep, I lived in most of those. Ballina right near Byron, Melbourne ❤️, just out of Sydney... Let me know when you’re coming next and we can share a pipe and coffee. ?

Had to Make My Own. ?

Yep, it's insane. Especially when you want to try a bunch of things to find what you like. Yeah, iv been curious about pipe smoking from the books since I was a kid, and more so after watching the movies. But it just came to a head this year and I was like, stuff this im gonna give it a go!!
  19. Buckler

    Jeez, This is Trickey!

Too funny. I too am brand new but have smoked in a shed each time. But totally get the 'sucking the flame out' thing though. I find that particularly when down to the last 3rd. Hard to see into the bowl and perhaps more focused air moving past the flame then when it is hovering above the bowl at...

Had to Make My Own. ?

I don’t know how ‘Kosher’ using ones posterior would be in regard to pipe smoke but one can apparently pay a fortune for coffee beans that have been crapped out by some bug so ... ? ?
