Stanwell Royal Briar 88
That was also my thinking. I was thinking the bowl of the pipe and it's design/functionality would be more important than the stem itself. It might be mismatched and look off, but the function of the pipe as a whole wouldn't be affected. But maybe that's wrong ?- mikeysmokes

Stanwell Royal Briar 88
This one, the bowl looks in pretty solid shape. The description says 1970s-1990s, in the pictures only markings I see are Stanwell, below it Royal Briar and on the opposite side it has the 88 on it.- mikeysmokes

I was looking on Ebay and found a Stanwell Royal Briar 88 with a replacement stem. Looks like it was either lightly smoked or already cleaned up. As I was typing that I was thinking the same. If the thickness would help keep it cool (?) since heat is produced wouldn't it just retain heat more so?- mikeysmokes

Estate Pipes- First purchase
So far I smoke a little of everything, trying to figure out what I do/don't like. So far hasn't been much I don't like. I tend to smoke mostly while driving, so most of the time clenching, but I do enjoy holding it while I can. Less than $100. I like the looks of Billiards, Dublins, Pots...- mikeysmokes

I think all of it I'm going to jar and then sip on. FMotT and Contest Blend obviously I have a little more leeway with.
