Toughest Pipe Smoking SOB in Movies.

Yes indeed Gandalf... But Samwise was tough in many ways, some very subtle ways, so much so he was able to carry the ring for a time and was quite resistant to its temptations...

    I Can't Watch Anything.

Seek help from a professional. Your situation has nothing to do with fly fishing, wood working or pipe smoking, so it is outside my areas of relative competency :) I will pray you find some contentment, OP.

Show Us Your Most Prized Pipe!

i’m in awe. what a beautiful pipe! I can’t imagine what a pipe like that would fetch on the market. I’m thinking it is best that you keep care of it and save someone like me from fiscal ruin 😀 But i must ask: does she have a name and does she smoke as well as she looks?

Do You Associate Pipe Smoking with a Sense of Spirituality?

I’m an orthodox christian and the main issue with pipe smoking is the same as with anything that’s a passion: it is about self discipline. I am taught that I should always strive to be in control of a passion and not have it be in control of my will. Sort of like being a rider on a horse; the...

    Is this Dunhill fake?

Yes, I would guess the same casualties of that are the top right side of the "D" in England, the bowl size number and the finish letter, which is almost entirely erased? Not meticulous refurbish work... or just too rough with a buff :)

Show Us Your Most Prized Pipe!

This is a difficult conundrum; I'd get around it by grabbing my pipe drawer which holds my 21 favourite in use pipes! I like all of those pipes so much that my 'favourite' is whichever one I am smoking :) Which, right now is .... this bad boy tanshell ---->

Dunhill 1971 Shell Briar 5-digit Stamp Question

Thanks for the reply about the date stamp which Steve Laug and I thought was an "11"; when I put it under a 6x loop, my son and I were able to see it is really a deformed "6". So you are correct; the pipe was made later in 1976! The weird part is that there's that line under the 16 But the...
