    General Poker (Air passage)

I had a pipe with air passages like that once... serious PITA. I kept two drill bits with it which I rotated with my fingers to clean it out... got really tired of that routine and eventually ditched the pipe.

    Fathers Pipe

I've often wished I've had my dad's pipes... and my grandad's especially. Grampa was born in 1888 and had several pipes from "the old country" as well.

An Irish night for an Irish ancestor.

How magnificent to have such knowledge of one's ancestors! One of my favorite teachers said that if we look closely enough, we see all our ancestors alive eternally in us. Here's to John Turner and you!

Similar product to Orlik Golden Sliced

I found Mac Baren Virginia #1 very similar to OGS to my taste anyway.

    3 Oaks Syrian Available

3 Oaks Syrian was one of my favorites not too long ago... three tins left now from a relatively big buy. That'll do me. My tastes have moved on to other beauties! But the memory of that affair with 3OS is sweet upon the mind!

The Pipe of the Young Pope

Upon reading this, I had a flashback to when Pope JP2 visited Mexico City way back in the day. Amongst the seemingly endlessly array of papal visit tchotchkes was a roped shower soap with the pope's image impressed upon it >>> billled as Pope Soap On A Rope. AHA thought I!!! What if The...

Albin Pipe Arrives After 2 Months!

Not long ago, I bid on several Polinski pipes from the same place.... I lost the bids but was fascinated by stuff coming clear from Poland. Didn't realize the potential for "adventure"... very interesting! And I'll bet potentially maximally frustrating!!

What's Your Record For Doing "It" In A Single Day?

I am but an extreme lightweight and amateur amongst Stellar Masters... my MOST was 3 bowls over about 3-4 hours.

    Jim's C&D Sanseprolcro Review.

I was glad to read all this... and thankful also for the comparison between Sanselpolcro and Sav 140... was very curious about that myself!

    Pipe tobacco bloom?

My first thought was that it looks like butterscotch candy and I'd want to eat it!!

    What's Your Lineage?

German, German, and more German. Dad's side traces back to a tiny village outside of Köln, Germany, that actually bears the family surname... and pretty much all farmers for generations. Mom's side from more over Easton/Allentown/Bethlehem/NazarethPEE-AY way... and some family records trace...

    A little bit of nirvana

Just this very week I finally broke down and bought a little space heater and a 250W work light to put above my folding camp chair in the garage. First time in months that my hands didn't lock down in the cold and the top of (bald) head felt like it was actually catching some rays...
