Old Boy lighters, what does "engine turned" mean

Hi guys, I'm thinking about getting an IM Corona Old Boy lighter. Some of these are tagged with "engine turned" as part of the advertisement of them. What does "engine turned" mean, and do I want it for general pipe smoking? Thanks! Todd

looking for HIGH quality metal foldable pipe holder

snowyowl, I think your right so I'll ask the question again, but, looking for a foldable wooden one, or maybe a leather one would be a good choice. It needs to be able to fit in my pipe pouch bag along with all the other stuff

looking for HIGH quality metal foldable pipe holder

Michael, I hadn't thought about that. I just thought (perhaps naively) that any pipe that wouldn't sit up on it's own would sit just fine in one of these folding pipe stands

looking for HIGH quality metal foldable pipe holder

That may not have been the best URL to depict what I'm looking for, I certainly don't need 500 of them. and I don't need it to be gold plated, maybe not the Maserati of pipe stands, but an Audi, Mercedes, or BMW quality will do.

    Vauen Spin pipes

Actually I'm not so big on the "Spin" capability. I think the pipe itself, in a "normal" position, is classy as all get out! But it does look like it's a bit over-engineered (typical Germans :) ), so that's why I'm asking if anyone knows of it's smoking behavior

tips for smoking a 4th gen Stokkebye 1957

tips for smoking a 4th gen Stokkebye 1957

High guys and thanks for your help! I can pass a pipe cleaner thru it all the way into the bowl, no problem, which come out no more wet nor dirty than any of my other pipes do. Drawing smoke under "normal" pipe conditions the smoke is too light. In order to get a "normal" amount of smoke to...

Anyone Ever Commissioned A Pipe That Turned Out To Be A Bad Smoker?

I agree with clikklick The answer is yes. There are two things that happen. 1. The buyer feels invested both emotionally and monetarily. So instead of complaining, then put the pipe on the rack and only come back to it once in a while to see if things have changed. . . it mostly collects dust...

To all of you smokers with kids.

I won't smoke in the car at all, period - like texting, it can wait. I'll enjoy the pipe more when I have the time to sit back, relax, reflect, and ponder the most important questions of life, what blend shall I try next?

certain pipes for certain tobaccos and vice verse?

So my question is really more about types of cuts of tobacco with types/shapes/sizes of pipes. Cuts of tobacco meaning Cubed, Krumble Kake, Ribbon, Shag, etc. With types or sizes of pipes, Billard, Bulldog, Apple, small bowl, deep bowl, etc. Not necessarily blends, but that may have an...
