    Pipe Cleaners

I use about three per bowl. 1 during the smoke, 1 for stem and shank cleaning after the smoke and 1 folded together with the latter one for cleaning the bowl. I use what I have, but I favor the Grey package White Elphant ones and only buy those now.

***What are You Smoking, April 2022?***

Thank you! A colleague of mine stepped into another job at another department and I was asked to take over from him. So I'm going to switch from a day2day job to a more process improvement/ advisory role within my department. Kinda excited but also anxious, I've been bugging my manager with it...

    Pan Seared Scallops

I love scallops or all sea food, but my wife can't stand shellfish, she gets sick from them. Excellent choice of wine, Chenin or Chablis is great with shellfish. I love mussels with fries, the Netherlands produces 50 million kilos and auctions 90 million kilos a year of which a lot is for export.

***What are You Smoking, April 2022?***

Sample of Old Gowrie in the J.Everett Lovat, something I'll have to get my grubby paws on. The kentucky in this added a nice nuttiness, good stuff.

I'm Considering a Bloodhound and Might Need a Name....

It does, as with Hubertine. Seeing the bloodhound has its roots more in the french speaking part of Belgium that might even suit better, still not a dog's name IMHO.

I'm Considering a Bloodhound and Might Need a Name....

OK serious reply: The Dutch/Flemish female version of the male name Hubert is Hubertine or Huberdina. But I actually don't think it's a good female dog's name, Hubert would be a okish name for a bloodhound.

    How Many "Pipefuls"

8 bowls a week, 3 grams average, 52 weeks makes 1200 grams a year. I have about 4000 grams in the cellar, so I have over 3 years now. My goal is 5 years at the end of this year, at this pace I only need 2000 grams.

Aren’t You Too Old For That?

I only get to blow out 38 candles this month, but since I have kids I have done things I would never imagine myself doing, including laughing at Peppa Pig videos. So no, I don't think your to old to do anything, like you ain't to young to do anything unless your of legal age, even if that's a...

Ryan Alden Restem of a 1910 Gourd Calabash

Im with @bluegrassbrian on this, I really like a contemporary look on a classic design, he did a great service to this classic pipe giving it a modern stem.

Try More Blends or Cellar What I Know?

Both. Some say you can't know what you like when your not a X amount of years into pipesmoking and while I can agree on some aspects of that statement, don't let yourself hold back to buy what you like and cellar deeper into it. I liked Presbyterian (2 pounds), MB Navy Flake (2 pounds) and...

What Tobaccos can I Smoke in One Pipe?

+1 on the Cob route. I didn't follow it because my teeth hurt from the plastic stems until I found the acrylic stems on "special edition" cobs. I use a Carolina Gentleman cob now for vanilla aromatics. If your in the USA it easier to order Forever stems from Vermont Freehand with a few cobs and...

Ahh finally got flake tobacco right!

Yes and No. For versatility and straight or 2 tobacco blends I like them a lot, for multiple tobacco kinds I don't, I prefer a ribbon or loose cut for that. Versatility as in rubbing them out the way I want (fine, coarse) or fold and stuff, just what I prefer that time. Side note; a Gawith...

***What are You Smoking, April 2022?***

I actually like a DH in every league, it eases the strategy part of the game with for example pinch hitting for the starting pitcher or like the Brewers pulling your starting pitcher (believe it was Corbin Burnes, which threw absolute GAS first game) before the 2nd inning to allow a permanent...
