    All Briar Clean Up Before/After

I got selfish and decided to work on one of my own pipes recently. This isn’t really a restoration just a basic rejuvenation. Overlooking the grunge factor, the pipe was in excellent condition. Most of these All Briar’s have been chewed up and smoked to death. I lucked out finding this. This...

Comoy’s Specimen Straight Grain 229 Restoration [Pic Heavy]

Another homerun. It’s hard to pick just one shape, but the squat bulldog with a tapered stem might be my favorite.

1938 BBB Silver-Mounted Poker Restoration [Pic Heavy]

Dang it. I knew I was doing it wrong.

1938 BBB Silver-Mounted Poker Restoration [Pic Heavy]

Back for a second look. Jesse is right. Your eye for detail is second to none. I’m still trying to figure how you get the inside of the stems jet black when they are so badly oxidized like this one.

Esoterica Bags for Long Term Storage?

Has anyone cellared a sealed 8oz bag of Esoterica? I was just wondering if they will hold up or if I should just jar it for a three year age.

    Meerschaum Coloring Time lapse

Has anyone seen anything like this on a Meerschaum before? Could this be the year it was made or purchased? I just discovered this shortly after posting the pictures. I’ve had this pipe for years, but only noticed the 65 marking when I cleaned the pipe after smoking last night.

    Meerschaum Coloring Time lapse

I thought it’d be fun to capture the coloring process on this Meerschaum. This pipe was handed down to me from my grandfather and I’ve finally decided to smoke it. I’ll update the pictures about once a month and we’ll see what happens. I’ve smoked three bowls before the pictures were taken.

    Pipe Recommendation?

@ Monk. Sweet Alpha’s! Here’s my Vittoria 8 320 I jazzed up a few years ago. Dirt cheap and smokes just as nice as my Savinelli 320’s. Tweaked the stain to brown and added a gold band. (50 cent brass washer)

    Pipe Recommendation?

Any pipe that smoked well would be missed no matter how cheap or ugly. :crying: Checkout the Rossi Vitoria line. They’re Sav’s with a different stamping. Of course the fit and finish leave much to be desired, but it should smoke like a champ. And prices are hard to beat.

Peterson Deluxe Bent Billiard (shape 9S)

Sweet Pete. I prefer a slotted bit but I don’t mind the P-lip. It actually works if you’re smoking some fresh bitey Virginia’s. Is there a function to the gap in the connection or is it purely aesthetic? Peterson is the only one I’ve seen do this.
