Esoterica Bags for Long Term Storage?

Has anyone cellared a sealed 8oz bag of Esoterica? I was just wondering if they will hold up or if I should just jar it for a three year age.

As long as the bags are not compromised by a hole or has been opened, they will last for years.

I have only 2 bags of sealed Esoterica tobacco, but I put them in mylar bags just to be safe. Overkill?

I've had a couple of year old Margate bags I've opened. No leaks at all. Stuff was extremely wet, over 90% RH @ 70º!

I have one in a rubber gasket sealed plastic container. Should be fine.

I used to open and jar them but have stopped doing that over the years. Those mylar bags will hold up for decades and the contents within will age just fine. I have a whole bunch of bags in my cellar.

I have some from around 2009 still bagged. Contents inside still pliant and not crunchy. You should be good.

Mine have all held up very well. Have never had an issue with them for long term cellaring.

Any of you who are concerned can send your bags to me for safe keeping. If any go bad, I'll let you know.

Dave:
I work those sealed Esoterica bags into large Ball/Mason jars. Anything that costs so much deserves an extra Walmart buck's worth of protection.
