    Spark Plug... Plume?

So me and @JOHN72 are up for a treat. What makes me wonder how come a two year old tin has plume where it sometimes takes "ages" to get it on other tobacco.

    Cob Stem

I don't like the plastic stem from a cob, very much prefer the acrylic one from the Carolina Gent for example.

    Spark Plug... Plume?

Just opened a GLP Spark Plug tin from 2020 (which was kindly gifted by @JOHN72) with the same white substance on it. The tin was quite bulgy with a big hiss of air when I opened it. @JOHN72 had the same issue with other tins, I think this topic is quite a reassurance for the both of us this...

    Ode to My First Meer

Like said, nothing to worry about when it is regarding smoking qualities. I wear wedding bands, the first time I scratched my smooth meerschaum with them (you can see it them on the shank side of the pipe) was one of those famous slowmotion "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" moments, but...

    Soup

Hmmmm soup. We have 2 kids that are soup-heads, before they were pretty basic tomato soup (saute onions, garlic, large carrot, thyme, tomato paste and let it cook with tomatoes, blender and put a little cooking cream in it). Now they want to try more exotic soups like Indonesian peanut soup and...

    Cobs or Briars?

As a smoking tool a cob (with acrylic stem, not the plastic ones), a briar or meerschaum are for me the same. For aesthetics I prefer a meerschaum or briar.

    A Turkish Missouri Meerschaum?

Sometimes meerschaums are jokingly called Turkish corncobs. I think they made a mistake in this case.

    Burley lover

+1! Not trying to beat on a dead horse here, but when opened up a tin of ABF it was "meh", after a year open in the tin I consider it cellar worthy. If I would cellar it I would open the tins and put them in a jar if that isnt your normal procedure. Even in Germany ABF is hard to get. Dunno...

    Pipe For Two

Funny thing is the act of smoking a pipe in my native language can be transformed to the act of felatio, so that's the standard joke when i'm walking out with my pipe on my work lunchbreak. So yes it could be a somekind of gay activity in Dutch.

How Long Does It Take To Get Just The Right Pipe?

That would be my next level, the next pipe will be like that; "make me a pipe" 😂 But i'm dedicating pipes to blends like you do, I like the Jason Everett pipe in size for rubbed flakes / ready rubbed (no dedicated blend yet), where the long lovat is my Presbyterian pipe and the small bulldog my...

How Long Does It Take To Get Just The Right Pipe?

Since I buy commissions. With commissions you have input in shape, size, finish, extra's like bands or other shenanigans, with a pipe of the shelve you don't and have to hope for a example that fits you. My last 5 pipes bought 4 are commissions, my last was a Peterson Deluxe. Fine smoker, no...

    Ordering the new pipe.

I think the longest Ive waited is 2 weeks with the free delivery option, but generally it is only 1 or 2 days when the pipe lands in NL.

    Ordering the new pipe.

That's the only reason I didn't order anything from them, the photography could be better. If you really want to see a pipe "in detail" online, www.smokingpipes.eu sends to the Netherlands and their photos are great.
