    Ascanian #2 in my Stanwel Silver S 85, this pipe doesn't get a lot of love but putting it back in the rotation I almost forgot how well it smokes. It was my previous Presbyterian smoking pipe, but I didn't get any ghost in it.

    I have 2 (single and triple) El cheapo Chinese jetline copy, bought 2 years ago and works fine, so a cheap set from for example Amazon is fine. In general I like smaller ring gauge from 42 to 48, I use the single the most. You have more control on where you toast and touch ups are more precise.

    If the oldtimers did it claiming they never had to buy a new one, why not experiment? My weekly average is your daily average, I like to dedicate a pipe to a blend when possible, but I also have "taster" pipes that are seeing a bit more abuse.
