    Carter Hall's been good to me so far.....The other one I've been having luck with, is some cheapo stuff called "Hot Rod"...I bought it mostly to turn into cigarettes, it has that long, thin, cigarette type cut to it, but it's been doing pretty well pipe wise....maybe because it's fairly dry?

    Using a filter, so I don't have to worry about getting a mouth full of ash....when I'm on eBay, I see pipe screens....what exactly are they for? I'm guessing to keep the ash at bay, if you're not using a filter?

    Sometimes when the pipe goes out, I'll use the pick thing, and mix the stuff in the bowl up, bringing the soggy stuff at the bottom up top, and then I just tamp the whole mess down & re-light....is that OK, or am I committing a huge breach of etiquette?

    Been working on the "in the mouth & out the nose"....been getting a weird sort of taste that can best be described as almost plasticy or almost shelac-like.....maybe I'm still burning too hot? Pipe only feels warm, though.....
