An Approachable Aromatic Admired by This Beginner, Mac Baren 7 Seas Regular

What can one say about 7 Seas Regular that hasn't been said? With all the reviews online you have to know it's worth a try, so I did and figured I'd add my two cents as well! When you first open a tin of 7 Seas Regular the smell of rich chocolate wafts from the package and teases your nose with...

    Show us your Ugliest Pipes!

What I don't get is why somebody rusticated it but then left the fills alone or added them? ?‍♂️ I think @petes03 is right though, whoever buys that root beast wins hands down. It looks like an interesting concept but wow what a terrible execution.

Fufilled 2/3 of One of My Bucket Wishes, Birth Year Pipe

Well I've only gone and done it lads! It's been a goal of mine to get a nice stash of Birth Year alcohols and pipes going and after a few weeks of searching my first of each are finally here puffy The Cognac is a 1991 Frapin with tons of oak to get through before you notice the subtle sweet...

    $1000+ Pipes

With the look of that piece I'd agree! Is that mammoth on the shank there? I've recently been checking out a few of those pipes along with some of the Fordite ones from Bill Shalosky and I have to say those shank decorations are very attractive. But BOY OH BOY those prices lol, I'd be more...

Perhaps A Dumb Question: Packing Aromatics

I use the air pocket method for everything and I swear by it as long as you don't mind shorter smoke times! I find with my aromatics it leaves space in the bottom of the bowl for moisture to billow and condense a bit before it hits your mouth. I'm still getting my cadence down with the breath...

    Smoking Time

I just got a few OZ of this stuff and can confirm, this twist is about as dense as it gets. Fantastic smoke, if a bit strong and also somewhat hard to find.

    Epic Box Pass 2020. 12-20-2019

Wow what an amazing variety! This is such a cool thing you guys are doing to spread the flavors and experiences of different blends. I wish there was some way to buy a 2-3 bowl sampler of all these! Ah well, I guess next years box is only a few months away ?

Pipe Restoration Series #1: My First Restoration! Rusticated Author (Bulldog?) with Metal Condenser. P1

Alright guys I think she's ready for show and tell, it's not exactly what I wanted but for my first attempt I'm happy with it for now. Album I have to work on my buffing/waxing because my first attempt at a finishing wax resulted in my buffing wheel tearing off tiny bits of fuzzy material...

What Did I Buy? Block Meerschaum. Pressed, or Clay?

@Country Bladesmith it is indeed, sounds like I've nothing to worry about then. I'll defer to the experts knowledge on the subject, thanks guys! This forum really is an invaluable resource for a new piper. Now to get her a fresh coat of Beewax and a clean rag to start smoking with tonight...

What Did I Buy? Block Meerschaum. Pressed, or Clay?

It IS sticky! Weird! Great tips for figuring that out quickly, thank you! @condorlover1 No case, it just came in a bit of bubble wrap. Anyone have tips on scraping off that 811 marking? Or should I hit it with some sandpaper? I'd like to get it off of there but if it's not possible...

What Did I Buy? Block Meerschaum. Pressed, or Clay?

Hello Meerschaum Veterans, I've got an ID request for you but I'm thinking I should just smoke it and get on with it! I got this as part of an estate sale and I'm just curious what you guys think of it? I'm also wondering whats the best way to get the grime off of it and remove that 811 from...

Pipe Restoration Series #1: My First Restoration! Rusticated Author (Bulldog?) with Metal Condenser. P1

Yeah I had a few accidents last night, I will be removing the staining liquid from the bottles by dropper from now on! Luckily everything it got on was easily cleaned up with an alcohol rag, except my hands :( I might have to take a look at those because using a folded pipe cleaner wasn't the...

Just got done with the stem and it's easily removable, looks like I lucked out and didn't get one that was glued in place.
