I do not own one but I used or tried them when hanging with my friends who loves them zippos..sometimes they have pipe zippo sometimes just regular..It seemed too much flame is coming...I love matches or butane...- NC TX ID pipeman

Two Estate CAO Meerschaums
I did also have thick cakes in 2 of my CAO Beklers...I just slowly chipped it of- sliding the dull screwdriver and sharper knife between the wall and cake..but it may be even easier with hot water to soften the cake...The one of yours is coloring nicely almost looking like translucent meerschaum...- NC TX ID pipeman

I really do not see the point to be smoking a pipe with metal shank like the pipe above and all the falcons etc.they are interesting design but smoking them?For me only wood and rubber...I am old school...You guys do not taste any aluminum aftertaste or they do not get hot?- NC TX ID pipeman

We will see...What surprises me again and again is how thick the cake is in each meer from my antique store purchases...It may not be a prefered wisdom back then not to build a cake in a meer....Guys-the patina looks so much better in real it is like a 3D ...Hot water is a good idea...- NC TX ID pipeman

It is buried deeply under the wax...wiping it ain't gona do anything...I think I will leave it there it is a cool patina....maybe if the wax is melted you could eventually wipe it of but just maybe....- NC TX ID pipeman

Pipe above has interesting coloring...I think that it is ash flying during smoking and wax sealed it in or coloring from dirty hands during smoking it...It is under wax...Got this one several months ago at the antique store...need to fix the stem- NC TX ID pipeman
