    How Deep is Your Cellar?

In theory I would suggest you to wait 1 year before cellaring and in this time try to understand the different types of blends, reason being at the beginning your taste could change quite significantly. Practically speaking it has to be considered that regulations could make harder if not...

    Online Cigars

Anybody has experience with the Cuban cigars Swiss Online retailers as iHavanas and Cigar Terminal? They have prices similar to duty free and look legitimate but I am still exitant to order from them.

    Deep Bowl Pipe Screen?

[i know that when it get down about half way I won’t be able to relight with my lighter. Would it be a mistake to use pipe screens (metal balls?) to essentially “raise” the level of the bottom of the bowl? That way half the tobacco would basically fill up the bowl. Make sense?] The real reason...

    Any Toscano Fans?

[Are these what you're talking about? They sound real interesting. I'll have to check them out if I get a chance. ] Yes, but they are overpriced on that site. The best of the four on that site is "Il Doge" which is 12 Eur for 3 pieces in Italy. The absolutely best are the "Il Clandestino"...

GH "Kendal Black Cherry" and "Top Black Cherry" are the Same?

The title said it all. I am trying to figure it out if GH "Kendal Black Cherry" and "Top Black Cherry" are the same blend (maybe for different markets) or two different blends. Any idea?

    Any Toscano Fans?

[Can they be stored in your Humidor with everything else? ] Some of them don't need humidor but if you put in a humidor don't put together with Cuban cigars as they are going to change the flavor of the Cubans.

50% GH Rum Twist + 50% SG Kendal Plug: A Winner

Without great expectations today I tried to mix 50% GH Rum Twist + 50% SG Kendal Plug and WOW! It is incredibly good, the rum twist keeps all its character but gains a lot in complexity, it's like all flavor palette opened up, I can even taste much better the rum undertone. Much smoother...

    Any Toscano Fans?

[Most are machine-made, but I have seen some that are handmade, and I renember seeing some Peruvian varieties as well. ] The peruvian variety is called Amazon but it is actually all Italian Kentucky which is sent to be hand rolled in Peru' just for saving in labor cost. Talking about Italian...

    Highest Recommended McClelland Virginia

I valued McClelland mainly for their Oriental series. So my 3 best would be: 1. 3 Oaks Syrian (For me the best last Syrian blend). 2. Drama Reserve (An excellent Oriental). 3. Tudor Castle (a Va/Per with a little bit of Oriental).

The Virginia People And The Burley People

I like every kind of quality tobacco but I notice I prefer blends with Virginia but not alone but as Va/Per, Va/Bur or Va/Lat/Oriental as well as Aromatics with Virginia. I care less of pure Virginia, so I think is what I like are the different condiments which change the Virginia.

ATTENTION ALL MALES.....I am in Need of Advice

In many cases vasectomy can be reversed. Said that my best advice is that if you have any question hanging in your mind just postpone until you'll fix your mind, you can always do at a later time if you'll wish.

    Peterson 3P Perfect Plug Storage

If space is of concern, mylar is the best solution. 7 mil mylar is very safe for long term storage, I would avoid the thinner grades.

In Praise of Mild Tobacco Blends

I think first of all it has to be defined what is a mild blend and the definition might be different for different people. For me mild blend is the one which is low in nic but full taste. Based on this definition a great mild blend for me is Peretti Cuban mixture, it is probably the lowest...

    Different Kind of Storage Question

You have to answer two questions by yourself in order to decide what is the best storage system: 1. What is the time frame of storage? 2. What is the space situation of the storage and particularly if you have space limitations?. If you time frame is less than 1 year basically everything can...

Anyone Else Prefer Wooden Matches Over A Lighter.

[Anyone ever use the Xikar Scribe? I always have a roll of pens (think cigar roll case filled with fountain pens) on me, as, well, fountain pen hobbyist, enough said, and it looks like it would fit in with something I already carry. I'm a bit curious about how well it works. ] I do have. I...

Age in a Jar or in the Tin?

If it is in the tin I leave there. As an added protection against a failure of the seal I seal the tin with aluminum tape. The only additional rare thing which could go wrong in a tin is if the tin is rusting from the inside but it is very uncommon and I can live with the remote possibility...

Anyone Else Prefer Wooden Matches Over A Lighter.

[Wait a minute. Am I following here, it's a lighter that you need a separate lighter to light?? ] It's the size of a lighter which holds a spoon of hempwick and a minibic. So actually the lighter is a minibic but the holder is made that when you light the minibic it lights the wick right away...
