Which Blend Do You Wish You Bought More Of Before It Disappeared?

The blend was purchased by some Eastern Europe blender (Polish or Czeck I don't remind) and my understanding it is now pure crap, nothing even remotely close to the original. Synjeco (from which I bought) does not carry any more for this reason.

What Time of Day do you Enjoy your Pipe the Most?

Afternoon after lunch or evening after dinner. Never in the morning.

Which Blend Do You Wish You Bought More Of Before It Disappeared?

Revor plug. I bought some just before it went out of production (at least in the former form). It will last for some time. When I'll finish it I will look for something else similar as there will always something close to what you like.

    Hello from Italy

Of course, beautiful city, particularly Bergamo vecchia. Too bad you were at the original epicenter of the Covid crisis, it was heartbreaking viewing on TV the army in the city at that time.

    Hello from Italy

Salve from Los Angeles from an Italian fellow. Where are you from in Italy.

    Hoi from Switzerland.

Welcome from California. In which part of Switzerland are you? If close to Synjeco in Brissago you are very lucky.

    Paint Can Style Tin Sealing

It looks the question asked was how to seal in the best possible way the original tin keeping the baccy in the tin for whatever reason and we should try to answer that question rather than giving different solutions which could or could not be not better in term of seal but do not answer the...

    Meerschaum cleaning hot water rinse?

As long as you dry with a soft clot after water rinse you'll be fine, I had no problem doing so. I would just not leaving the meer wet after rinsing as the water could be absorbed and swell the meer. That's it.

    Pipe tobacco cut preference

Even if more time consuming to prepare I never found a plug or rope blend which I did not find at least excellent, so it is my preferred type. And the preparation for me is not a cons but a pros as I feel being part of the experience raising expectations for the actual smoke. I go with other...

    Ennerdale Flake

IMO Kendal flake has the strongest Lakeland sauce along with SG Cannon plug. It is different from Ennerdale with the latter being more Almond\fruity note and the Kendal with Ennerdale undertone with added floral/spicy tone. They are both great and from the mood I prefer one or the other.

Cigar Smoker looking for Pipe Tabacco

Welcome aboard. Given you are coming from the cigar world you won't have the problem of dealing with nic hit, or maybe you might have a problem you don't find so much nicotine in tobacco pipe. If I can make a comparison to alcohol tobacco pipe would stay to fine wine tasting as cigar stay to...

Does tobacco that has been well stored for more than 20 years get better?

Any difference in aging time and tobacco viability depending on the cut? I would think that plugs and ropes as pressed and with less/no oxygen inside the plug/rope would age slower and also remain viable longer than ribbon cut blends.

What tobacco can replace SG FVF?

[You can generally get it at Synjeco in Europe. Pricing is fair especially if you buy enough to amortize the shipping. You can also buy Full Virginia Plug and some other nice tobaccos you can't get here in the USA] +1. If you like FVF you'll love the FVP and the other plugs and I can attest...

If You Had to Choose Only One Tobacco

One more consideration. Beauty of pipe smoking is variety of baccy. I like changing from one blend to another, if I had only one blend it would become boring. One reason more to cellar when you find something you really like also because what is today available could go off production tomorrow.

If You Had to Choose Only One Tobacco

The problem with that question is that taste change, or at least definitely change the preference for the blend type. So as now I am in the mood of VaPer I would choose Synjeco Grenodd twist, but when in the mood of English/Balkan I would say McClelland 3 Oaks (I know they close business but I...

    B&M Shops in Italy?

As originally from Italy I can tell you Italy is a tobacco pipe superpower but a tobacco III world country. Other that few Italian tobaccos which I don't value very high anyway there is nothing interesting and what you can find it will be at outrageous prices. For tobacco my advice If you are...

What Do You Use for a 5-Minute Smoking Break

I am sorry I am not helping you when I say, as other said, that I don't care for a 5 min pipe smoking. For me the smoking of the pipe is a moment of quality time set up for relaxation, sometime meditation (sometime even about nothing) and I need a 30-60 minutes for it. If I have just 5 minutes...

What Tastes Better in a Briar?

On my perspective at the end it depends if you like or not the potential (if any) flavor which briar could impart and most important if you care about the ghosting which a blend could impart (which can happen faster with briar even if at the end every pipe get ghosted if smoked with the same...

When Next GH Shipment to the USA?

The last shipment from GH factory to the USA was just at the beginning of the year so I think we should be closed to the next shipment. Anyone has any news?
