What Do You Do For a Living? 2nd edition

@crusader - ever have any dealings with Tiffin Motorhomes? Not much. Not our demographic. Not to many guys with that kind of coin in the farmland.

Warranty department manager for a top five R.V. Dealership. Quite boring really, but pays the bills. I wanted to be Indiana Jones as a kid though.

First Attempt at Growing and Processing

Looks like a good job for a first timer. ITs much tougher than one would expect, huh. It looked like you harvested too soon (too green) but the results look great!

    Your First Pipes

First pipe was a Grabow Riviera purchased from Walgreens wit a pouch of Capt. Black white. Still have it and is a great smoker. My first "real" pipe in my mind was a Bjarne I got off eBay and I just smoked some 965 in it.

Growing up in the 1970s & How We Should All Be Dead!

80's child here. Oh man, do I feel sorry for my kids! The older neighborhood kids had an underground hangout they dug out of the ground then laid plywood from the surrounding house construction boom over for a roof and then covered with earth where the grass eventually grew. You had to cross a...

    On Appreciating Better Pipes

I get what you're saying. I have makers from all over the spectrum from Dunhill to No names. I am not sure that price equals performance perfection. Some of my more reliable pipes are a Bjarne, older Grabows and Kaywoodies that I cannot remember bad smokes. My Dunhill can be hit or miss. A...

Would you buy a new Cavicchi?

I would be interested in Foggys explanation as well. Even though that post was two yrs old, I have seen Foggy post similar things abou Dunhill shells I think as well. A new cob is about the only thing I have ever noticed in a new pipe. I would have to lean towards the smell of the heated stain...

    Pete Inner tubes?

I have a Pete 120 shell meer and is a great if not my best smoker. I have noticed that the tenon looks like it is threaded slightly so I googled it and it appears that Peterson did have tubes at one time. From what I understand is that this one is from the 50's and was wondering if anyone knows...

    The Briary Event 2017

Thanks for the info Cosmic. I am not sure as to be mad or sad about Dunhill. Honestly, I'm a bit put off now about them "folding" what made the name relavant if the first place. I guess money talks :(

    New Pipe For Christmas???

Wifey got me a Pete Derry B60 and German clay. It's my first clay and I really like the shape of the Derry. The drilling on the Pete is a bit off but it's not a big deal to me. If it was a high end it would be but I can fix it easily as I also make pipes here and there as time allows. It draws...
