    The Psychology Of Cellaring

Someone said this only came up a year or two ago, but that isn't true. Harris got me into cellaring about 7 years ago when I did a trade with him for some flakes. Then I traded someone for a tin of Escudo aged 10 years. It was spectacular. I love fresh escudo, but the aged stuff takes the flavor...

    New York Pipe Show Carpool

Morta Eskimo/Uke Part 2- Picture Heavy

Interesting idea on the drill, creates a sort of horn shape inside. How does the tamping work? Are you able to tamp well? I like the smooth, I made one smooth and it is so shiny. Enjoy.

Maigurs Knets Pipe Heading My Way

Just purchased this beauty from Mike at http://www.briarblues.com. I have purchased quite a few pipes from Mike and always get impeccable service. I have had my eye on this pipe for awhile and after selling a bunch of estates pulled the trigger. I have been reading up on the maker as I ddin't...

My First Order From SPC (Pics and questions)

I was just looking through my history with Smoking Pipes. I have ordered 170 tins from them over the years and never had a single issue. Always packed well, always arrives quickly, and I've even gotten aged tins on occassion, not expecting that. They are my go to place for tobacco and I rarely...

    Thorin Oakenshield's Pickaxe Pipe

Picked up this very cool chunky Ben Wade Royal Grain over Christmas at an antique store with my Dad. It was lightly smoked and has a huge bowl. The finish on the pipe was pretty dull and dirty, but the pipe is in amazing condition. So I cleaned up the stem, which had no gunk inside. That never...

The P-Lip: Love em or Hate em

Lots of guys hate them, but they are super easy to clench. I love them for hiking around outside. And if my tongue is a little raw for some reason I can give it a break.

Nalgene Wide Mouth Bottles vs Ball Glass Jars

Also I tend to think that the taste or smell of plastic leaches into food or tobacco over time if stored for long periods, but this would be awesome if you were traveling in the field a lot like you say.

I give up on 'thunderbird Inserts"

The z-pipe is awesome. I've been using mine for a year and it is still going strong, way better than a thunderbird.

Can you tell me more about this pipe? "Vauen(?) Revelation"

Haven't found much. Vauen pipes have a white spot so that's probably why the seller thought that. The metallic spot looks like a Mastro de Paya, but again can't be certain. Either way looks like a quality pipe.
