    Peterson 999 Chubby Pre-Republic

    I have one of these, only mine is a Shamrock, Peterson second. I got it unsmoked from Pipestud and even as a Shamrock I had to pay a lot. Mine was almost $300. It was a 1947 era Peterson second. I got it to replace a similar pipe that had been stolen. It isn't unsmoked anymore however.

    Need Help Repainting Pipe Stem!

    alcohol can cause oxidation, but so can sunlight and moisture. Soak them in some oxidclean with hot water then scrub off the oxidation with a Brillo pad. I use a powder called bar keepers friend next and a wet rag for getting the rest of the oxidation off. It takes time but they will come out...

    I opened a rectangular tin of Solani Aged Burley flake that was over 10 years old and the seal was still good. Nice pop when I opened it and moisture level inside.
