    Cigrmaster Is Back

Might want to peruse a post Starcat started but did not finish, something about an over-rated pipe seller, or along those lines... Just look for a post with over a thousand replies...

    Cigrmaster Is Back

Loosing you was loosing a good friend, I am glad your back along with your wealth of knowledge. I knew a woman with MS who called herself "The Queen of Pain," you may be perhaps the King!

    Third Hand Smoke . . .

@northernneil THANK YOU!!! That was a great laugh and now I know exactly what to say!

    Where else can I sell??

Most other pipe forums would allow you to sell your tobacco, as for the pipes, Ebay works.

    Moist or Dry

Latbomber might give Pruss a run for his money :)

    Moist or Dry

You just get used to it by first starting with the "pinch test" and later you just get the feel for it and no longer require such a basic test. For me I like it a little drier than what the pinch test goes for, but not dried out entirely.

    Best lighter for a pipe

A Zippo with the black can Zippo fuel can not be beat in my opinion by anything :) I keep a bic or Djeep lighter as a backup in case it runs out of fuel (only for cobs, those non-Zippos will burn the rim of a briar).

    My perfect humidor.

For pipe tobacco we generally use Ball Mason Jars or bail wire glass jars, the point is to have glass with rubber seals that will be totally airtight, thus not requiring moisture packets. They are very very cheap, it makes no sense to use anything else and moisture packets are generally only...

    Fake Dunhill

If you like Escudo, try Peter Stokkebye's Bullseye Flake, you will be amazed! :) I find it has much more complex, deep flavor.

    Brand new from Afghanistan

I actually use a Legend Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipe bowl ($4) and a stem made for me for $17 by Walker Briar Works, together the pipe is 11" long! It's very durable and the cheapest good option for a churchwarden and it doesn't have to be broken in either. For the price of a Savinelli...

    Movies You are Excited For?

The new Robocop is actually quite good, features Samuel L Jackson, Michael Keaton, Gary Oldman... Some very good actors there! They changed the story-line quite a bit from the original, but in a good way.

    Fake Dunhill

Not everyone that makes stems is good at it and not everyone that owns a Dunhill gets the expensive stem maker's stem. A lot of pipers just chew their stems to bits every couple years and replace them with fairly cheap ones, myself included.

    Fake Dunhill

Probably a real Dunhill with a replacement stem, replacement stems are really common.

And here I was thinking P&C had a special deal on these Chinese cobs...

    Erik Stokkebye at Morley's Feb19 Wednesday 7:00

Too sick to go! Very nasty viral infection, can't stop coughing, lots of tissues, ect... Last thing I need to do is give Erik the flue!

    South African Smoking Ban

Your post is a little out of line there bent, and degrading to the people that live there.

    New Captain Black Premium Line

Lane is a contender with non-premium blends good enough to be the cornerstone of many pipesmokers' cellars (1-Q, Captain Black). Their premium blends are sure to be good. I probably will not bother with them though unless offered some in a trade. I find every time I try to get a blend better...

It Ain’t Easy Being Keen: The Top Ten Problems Faced By Pipe Hobbyists

Loved it, at least their Sugar Barrel is great, too bad they went and discontinued the line, but I am stocked for a while until I can find something else. As for the fear of putting holes in clothing... Yes he's right, thick cotton clothing just for smoking is great, a nice polo shirt and...

Saturday Night Fights - Revisited - Battle Of The VA Flakes

I do agree with Les though, it ain't a great comparison. I think BBF is way more simular to DF than FVF is. This being said I would still pick FVF over either of those two any day, I just love the rich, complex smoke. FVF is about as complex as a straight VA can possibly get, for a quick...
