Finding tampers
I enjoy rooting around antique stores looking for pipes and accessories. Been doing this for quite some time but have never seen tampers. Why can’t I find tampers at these places? Don’t find them at estate sales with pipes for sale either. Do they just get thrown away? Do people not know...- dontbeaburleyman

Great Yarns Spoilt
I have the same problem with movies. I watch movies to get away from the rigors of everyday politics, world views, work, etc. Just want to let my mind wander and be entertained. Invariably the discussion becomes the deeper meaning of the movie regarding politics, world views and work. Uugghh- dontbeaburleyman

Enjoy my pipe on the 45 minute drive home. Tilt open the sunroof, crack the back windows and turn off the air recirculation. Wife never complains about the residual room note. I've been lucky enough to find some nice pipes at the occasional estate sale. An early Vermont era Elliott Nachwalter. A Frank Augsberger. A Preben Holm. And a few large nice Jobey and Nording. Are Burley Smokers a Breed?
Have a hard time getting the tastes you describe from burley, hence my avatar name. That and a play on our former Cali governor being a girly man. I try to stay away from high burley content blends. Tastes like acrid smoke.- dontbeaburleyman

Anyone Heard of this Texas Bourbon?
I've had and like the Balcones True Blue, Single Malt and Lineage. I enjoyed each of them. I agree about Garrison's. Good whiskey but have a hard time dropping $120 on a bottle. Are "Drug Store Pipes" really Available at Drug Stores?
Here in California there are no drug stores, grocery stores or Wal-Marts that sell pipe tobacco. I have on occasion seen a cob sold at Wal-Mart but those are few and far between. And the nearest brick and mortar tobacco stores are about 40 miles away. Cigarette stores sell lots of cigs, vapes...- dontbeaburleyman
