Re-Made My Churchwarden
I decided one of my first Churchwardens needed a make over. I changed the shape to a brandy, sanded it all down and stained it a dark navy blue. I then re-shaped the bend in the stem. Took out the cheesy over bend into something I think is much more graceful and put a cap on the shank.- shikano53

After having my pipe crafting mentor look at the original pictures, he advised me to fill in the deep holes with a mixture of briar dust and wood glue. Larger dust, not the small particulate. I did, and this is the first application. I will let it dry for several hours and if the paste draws in...- shikano53

I had an epiphany about a month ago. I thought, "why attempt to cover up flaws that only make the flaws more visible?' It's briar. Show them off. Whether you rusticate, smooth, or blast: Let those flaws shine! There are no leaks. It is leak tested and proven. Leakers go in the fireplace. So...- shikano53

Unlikely to Ever Get to Try Penzance
I thought I would add my two cents worth to this particular thread. Back in 2015 - 2017 I was fortunate to be able to obtain several 8oz bags of Penzance through pipeandleaf.com and always had a full supply of it on hand.
