    Original Stain... Or Not?

I generally try to keep the color in the same original ballpark but I have re-colored a couple when I thought the pre-existing stain didn't favor proper grain reveal

    Better inexpensive pipe

Besides what already been mentioned Molina, Baraccini. and Balandis are good inexpensive pipes. I find a lot on eBay that I restore as well. Picked up some nice Savinellis doing that.

    Smoky Mountain Tobacconist - Gatlin-Burlier

Just an FYI, I was down in Gatlinburg this week once again and finally wandered into the Gatlin-Burlier shop. Great little operation. Picked up a very tasty Burley blend and one of their Bourbon infused aromatics. Really good tobaccos. A little pricey but everything down there is. They have a...

    Favorite Wilke blends?

God that's a really tough question with respect to Wilke as their blends are soooo good! Maybe 524 and 436 for the non-aros of course I just came on to 111 the wonderful Oriental. Churchill for the cigar based mix. Most definitely Peanut Butter for the aromatic.

    C&D Oriental Silk

I just ordered an sample ounce myself but Pipes & Cigars stiffed me on the delivery, running that down now. I'm hoping the Orientals register that's why I bought it. Tea nuance is very common especially with Basma, green or I sometimes get Earl Gray influences.

    Elizabethan Moisture Question

My Elizabethan is generally pretty optimum on moisture, absolutely no set-up nor too dry. It's been jarred however going on two years now.

    Good Cheap Pipe

Rossi, Molina, Ropp, Baraccini are good budget level pipes. One other is a Polish handmade shop called Balandis. Really nice pipes in the same price range. Just bought another one of his that I've been watching for over a year. 15% off sold!

Friday Feature - Straus Tobacconist Sleepy Hollow

From the deeply dark interior of the presumed peaceful hollows came the shrieking terror of piping lore, eek gad! In violation of all human vision, I spied a fiery-eyed steed charging relentlessly towards me as it bore the sinister blackhearted phantom of renown himself. And within this headless...

    Self-sealing Mason Jar Lids

I've find on many jars that were sitting undisturbed for an extended periods there is definite vacuum force that builds up on these. They are a booger to get the seal off as a result. I guess that is a good thing

    Hooked on Capt Black.

I don't think they are the same either, close but there is a difference in the toppings.

    Hooked on Capt Black.

I returned to smoking CB after decades of shunning. In fact I snubbed all aromatics forever and a day. On CB, Brian Levine convinced me via his podcast to re-open my mind and as a result I do think the Original is much better than it was and also the Dark is really tasty as well. If you like...

    Tobacco Reviews Dot Com

I too have ran into that but as others have said if you search Google it generally pulls up a the corresponding TR link. On the Watch City thing I saw where there were different naming conventions that might be aggravating a clean search. Namely a company may be listed with multiple...

    Hello from Texas

Long time cigar smoker here too. I put my pipe away for the longest time. First opportunity I shook the dust off it that was it. My cigars are becoming mummified in my humidor. Much different and livelier experience. Can't believe I took the hiatus. Hell of a lot cheaper too. Welcome from SW Ohio,
