    Searching for Sweet

Never heard of Visions of Celephias. After looking it up on Tobacco Reviews and elsewhere, don't think I'll be trying that one either. :)

    Am I Allergic to Virginias?

The only way I can tolerate Virginias is in a filter pipe with 9mm carbon filters, way too much bite otherwise.

    Whoa! Some Filter!

Saw that thing on their website but didn't bother to see what it was for. Just figured whatever it is, I don't need it. As far as filters go, I like balsa or no filter for aromatics and Dr. Perl carbon for Virginias.

    Positive Experience with smokingpipes.com

SmokingPipes. TobaccoPipes. CupOJoes. Have used a few others with good results, Milan Tobacconist, Pipes and Cigars, Meerschaum Market, Blue Room Briars, Country Squire, but these three are my most my used, pretty much in that order.

    Any Opinions on Vauen

I purchased a Vauen Canadian a few months ago and sent it back, as the draft hole (where it meets the chamber) was drilled off to one side and low.

Do You Really Like to Smoke a Pipe With Filter

I've done a complete 180° when it comes to filters. Haven't touched a filter pipe since the early days of pipe smoking with cobs and Grabow's, 50 years ago or so. Recently I purchased a 9mm filter pipe as I've been getting kind of a mild rush feeling after smoking, most noticeable when trying to...

    Tounge Bite

Buying a 9mm filter pipe and using charcoal filters has completely removed tongue bite for me.

Recommend a 9MM Filter Pipe Please.

No plastic taste, but I can slightly taste the activated carbon. For me the activated carbon almost completely removes tongue bite which has been an issue for me.

Recommend a 9MM Filter Pipe Please.

Received my first ever 9mm filter pipe today, a BriarWorks C81F Apple and a box of Vauen Dr. Pear Jr. filters. Smoked one short bowl of Sutliff Midnight Smoke so far. Smokes great and the fit and finish is just fine.

    SmokingPipes Badges & Benefits?

Just ordered a pipe today and got 5% off. I'm a VIP Bronze Member, whatever that is. They also check every pipe for me to see if it is likely going to be acceptable, ie, proper drilling, no whistling stem, etc., and they let me know before sending it.

Thanks for the reply's. Vauen Cumberland series looks nice. TobaccoPipes.com has one I like the looks of. They're just down the street from where I work, so maybe will stop in and take a look. Rattrays bog oak looks nice as well, but not crazy about bog oak pipes. Will take a look at Winslow...
