Recommend a 9MM Filter Pipe Please.

Received my first ever 9mm filter pipe today, a BriarWorks C81F Apple and a box of Vauen Dr. Pear Jr. filters. Smoked one short bowl of Sutliff Midnight Smoke so far. Smokes great and the fit and finish is just fine.View attachment 9950

An American maker that makes 9mm filtered pipes??? ?

How does it taste with the Dr Perl's filters? No plasticky taste? Maybe I DID get a bad batch. ?

Absolut echt! Got them from a very reputable vendor in Austria (Pfeiffenkonsulat), along with a pipe and other items.

No plastic taste, but I can slightly taste the activated carbon. For me the activated carbon almost completely removes tongue bite which has been an issue for me.

Maybe that's what I'm tasting. I'll rip open a filter and taste the carbon—see if I can find out.

I would guess you are just more sensitive to the difference? maybe you are tasting the paper.

Yeah, I wish I knew. I was gonna order a different kind of filter, the White Elephant brand, which I think uses Meerschaum bits instead of carbon, but then Pfeiffenkonsulat vanished from the online market.
